    Absolutely, just some FYIs...

-I just email them with "When I try to bid on booking #XXXXXX it says it's not eligible, could you please make it eligible?"

    - However you ask, be sure to include your booking number

    - Usually takes 1-2 weeks to receive a reply from the moveup email address

-Don't bother with anyone else at X, only that dept seems to be able to make your booking eligible

    Worked perfectly.

    Thanks a bunch!

Only took about 24 hours to get a response and another 24 hours to get the email offer.

  2. I went to my local MGM casino to get an upgrade for my captains club status.

In my case, i'm select so I can get gold status at MGM.

I was told that i need to have my captains club card in order to do that.

I realized that i dont have a card and was wondering if they give you cards anymore.

Does anyone know if they still issue cards?

  3. You know its funny but I'm always looking for some herbal tea especially in the evening before bed and Herbal Ginger tea is my tea of choice.

I always carry a half dozen envelopes with me everytime I cruise.

Just wondering if they have ginger tea in Cafe Al Bacio? Thanks.

  4. I did the Bioluminescent tour on Vieques a couple of years ago.

The Vieques tour is different because you get to actually swim in the water.

But even without swimming in the water, this tour was the highlight of our trip.

Do a google search to see some of the pictures.

  5. Just booked the Splendor for an interior room, going solo, for $1658. With tax port came to $1816. for August 12th sailing.

I wish they would give us solos a break.... I know that it's peak season and all.

    What do you think?

I've done the Splendor solo when she did her first transatlantic. She's an excellent ship. You will have a great time!

  6. This will be my first Seabourn cruise and I will be travelling solo on this voyage. I chose this sailing because I really love the days at sea on a transatlantic. I have heard wonderful things about the Seabourn on board experience and what a great way to experience it with all those sea days.

I mostly cruise on Celebrity. I have been to Funchal on a previous transatlantic and am looking forward to returning.

  7. Hi All,

I'll be travelling with you on this cruise.

My husband does not like sea days (which pretty much eliminates most cruises), so I will be travelling with my parents. They are older now and this will probably be the last long trip that I will be doing with them.

We are arriving in Rome on Oct 27 staying at the Hotel ****onale next to Parliament. I've been to Rome a few times in the past but my parents have not so it will be exciting to show them some of the things I've already seen.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

There is a very active thread on the role call board for this cruise.

  8. Has anyone ever purchased a painting at the art auctions Cunard holds on board? I tried to watch one of these auctions in the Winter Garden one day, and found the event to be kind of cheesey and left early on, without even sitting down. I was wondering why anyone would even buy a painting while on a cruise, especially a crossing.

If anyone on the board bought a painting at one of these auctions, please write in. Did you carry the painting off the ship with you? Did Cunard make arrangements to ship it back to your home? How does that work?

Just curious whether this is some misfit event, or whether they sell all kinds of paintings on these voyages.

You know, I'd have to totally agree with you. I thought that sailing on Cunard meant that it was a little more classy but instead we got gold by the inch and art auctions!! I have never been tempted to go to any art auctions on any cruise I've been on!!
