And what are we going to do for entertainment once he disembarks? I suppose we could always turn on CNN and see if anything interesting is happening.

Thanks for following along.
Let me take this moment to restate why I do this. For one, it’s fun for me. Number two, so much can be gleaned by the cruise critic community and this is my way of trying to pay it forward and backward.
So I salute all of the cruise critic members who have gone before me and will give a couple of more reports for those that will follow.
David, as yet another of your cruises winds down, and you have shared your experience with us, you can take solace in knowing you were not alone in your endeavor. In fact, at this writing, your Thread has attracted 14,921 views under the Cruise Forum: Oceania Cruises heading. To put that into perspective, of the the 349 pages in this category, your writings are currently on Page 3 (and quickly making their way to page 2).
Thanks again for all of this and I will no doubt use your writings and especially your photos to help us in making meal choices when we board Marina on February 8.
PS: Your writings of your maiden voyage with Marina is #4 on that list (after the Stickies) on Page 1...but you knew that. ;-)
Cheers!
Mitch

I'll have what he's having.

I can't wait the 12 days. I'm pouring Demi-glacé over my iPhone as we speak with a side of foie gras.

then you must rush over to the port side to toscana and have some more :d
lol! :)

Instead of a surf &turf (smaller lobster and fillet) you can order a whole lobster AND a regular larger fillet (as long as you can handle it :D)
OK, but if the ship lists to the starboard side on the night we eat there...well that would be my fault. ;)

I'm pretty sure there is a surf & turf option, check the menu. Or you can order two entrees if you choose.
I see it now, thanks. https://www.oceaniacruises.com/Documents/Menus/1708/Polo-Grill-Dinner-Menu-OClass.pdf

sldispatcher, it's great you are posting all of this good info. We will be on the Marina starting February 8 so the blog and tidbits are very timely. This will be our first time on Oceania and I am sensing from your food pics (and some of the comments) that the portions are generally small. That's not necessarily a bad thing, especially if the food is of great quality, but I was wondering if one were so inclined, could they ask for a secondary portion? My intention, at least in the Polo Grill was to order both the lobster and the filet. Judging from the size of your filet, I don't think I would be going too far wrong.
Your thoughts?

Edited this post to indicate it above.

There is someone on Facebook with that name from Grenada who looks like a cab driver. I think we had him as a cab driver on a previous cruise.

We are onboard now. Generally speaking it certainly is not high speed. It is low to medium depending on the time of day. Light browsing and emails are ok but definitely not robust enough for any streaming.
