  1. This is what we received. Since we are booked to cruise in August  my refund and FCC  will be switched to that cruise.

    GUEST COMPENSATION

If you have already paid for your cruise in full, MSC Cruises USA will automatically provide a 100% Future Cruise Credit of the amount paid to MSC Cruises. No action is required on your part.

In addition, if your cruise was paid in full, you will receive an onboard credit to use on your next cruise, based on the length of your original cruise.

    • If the original cruise was 4 nights or less, you will receive $100 onboard credit per stateroom to use on your next cruise. Those booked in a single occupancy stateroom will receive $50 onboard credit per stateroom.
    • If the original cruise was 5 to 14 nights, you will receive $200 onboard credit per stateroom to use on your next cruise. Those booked in a single occupancy stateroom will receive $100 onboard credit per stateroom.
  2. I'm trying to figure this out. We are booked in the YC and received a upgrade offer to the Royal Suite for a minimum bid of $2370pp..Fellow travelers booked in lesser experiences were offered the same offer minimum offer. I guess paying more for a cabin really doesn't effect the bidding process...

Needless to say we won't bidding on nothing more than a larger cabin since we are already receiving the same perks.....

  3. Congratulations Welcome to the YC we are on the same cruise so you might want to check out the roll call. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/subscription.php

I really cant remember when the pool and whirlpool close, I think it was sometime about dusk. You will never have a problem finding a chair...

All can say is prepare to be impressed and pampered..:cool:

Check out the You Tube videos of the Seaside Yacht Club..

  4. is the extra money worth it to book a yacht club suite on msc

IMO it's not only the suite that you should consider, its the entire Yacht Club experience..From the exclusive boarding experience to the private lounge and pool area to the dining in Le Muse and the fantastic service the Yacht Club is the best bang for your buck.. Well worth the money

  5. We have sailed in the Haven on most every Norwegian ship... it is an amazing experience and truly changes the way you view any cruise.

We recently tried the MSC for the first time on the Divina in the Yacht Club as a change of pace.

In my opinion, the YC is head and shoulders above the Haven.

The facilities on the Divina truly make a ship within a ship... expansive YC outdoor sundeck, with bar, food and an actual swimming pool.

Le Muse was superior to any of the Haven restaurants on the new ships.

I must say, the quality of the YC staff, especially the butlers, were at a different level than what we have seen on NCL.

In the same manner that I was disappointed in layout of Haven penthouses on the Escape... the similar YC cabins on the Divina are not as spacious as I would like. For that reason, we chose an Exec Suite (YC2) and simply loved that cabin.

We walked away from our Divina cruise in the YC totally satisfied and pleased with the value.

I did not pack any differently, and dressed as I would on any NCL cruise.

I don't wear jackets on any cruise... that is so-last-century.

Pleased enough to book the Meraviglia in the Fall.

    Glad to answer any specifics....

    Hey Ron.....Happy New Year.......

That being said I have to agree with Ron...As a loyal NCL suite/haven cruiser

I have to say we totally enjoyed the Davina YC. NCL has totally out priced itself.

Even if we have to fly to Fla as opposed to driving and leaving from NY, its totally worth it. The YC is the only way to go....:D

Going back to the Davina in May 17 and the Seaside in 2018

  6. I see that unlike most other ships the Divina departs at 1900.

At what time do they start the check-in, and when do they usually start the boarding process?

    We're in the YC.

We too were in the YC..Arrived at 11:30 and were checked in curbside and immediately boarded the ship..

When you arrive at the pier make sure you are dropped off at the YC tent. YC luggage tags will be attached and special porters are there to take your luggage. Make sure your luggage is not taken by the regular porters.

  7. We are just off Divina and stayed in the Yacht Club. Le Muse was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the cruise. Cold Water lobster was offered on the second formal night and it was large and very good. The menu at Le Muse implies a 3 course offering, but we chose 3 or 4 courses depending on what the choices were. We thought the lunch menu was as good as dinner and sometimes better. Yacht Club was a very solid upmarket offering and can definitely compete with the likes of Seabourn, Crystal and Silversea.

Thanks for the info..we board the Divina/YC this Saturday the 29Th......:D:D:D:D

  8. Thanks for the information Bret, as usual you are a wealth of knowledge. :)

Appears I'm going to once again be in the minority. My opinion is that msc cutting to 3 courses has little to do with appeal to Americans. Instead, I believe the changes are simply a cost cutting measures in order to compete. It's very basic economics. Nothing more, nothing less.

You are not alone in your opinion..MSC along with other lines is cutting back and adding sur-charges for some items.

I guess we Americans want less food and want to pay for our lobster..:D

If someone want to spend more time in the dining room just tell the staff that you are NOT in a rush.

As far as other passengers being connected it's non of my business as long as the sound is turned down...

    Brett thanks fore the info..
