Chris and Bill--
Glad to know that I am not the only one waiting until the last minute--I believe tonight or tomorrow may be the last pre-sail opportunity to book.
I booked (after considering recommendations here and from PP):
Santiago Extended Half Day (VG14)
Lisbon Audio Guide Tour (LS41)
Oviedo & Santa Maria del Naranco (GJ03)
I have never been to Lisbon and really didn't want to be unable to move around freely and at my own pace. I have never done a city audio tour (and again) procrastinated too late to do proper research.
Am travelling solo, so feel free to join me on these--and yes, by all means, if you haven't been to these places, I do recommend "jumping ship" at least for a bit. I, like you Chris, will probably not go ashore (unless I am ready for a bit of land) in Nassau.
Getting excited--work has been so hectic that I haven't had much time to think of travel -- until today.
Looking forward to meeting all!

Peter: I was going to wear my formal NYPD Ceremonial Unit Uniform, but he has vetoed that plan, besides which bringing on my "piece" and handcuffs could cause issues with both the Airline and Celebrity !!!
I do have a mini-flogger perfect for travel occasions. I'll be sure to pack it.

Peter--
Did you get any takers on the Santiago de Compostela on-your-knees outing? I am VERY interested if someone is putting together a "family"-friendly excursion.

Chris--
Have been away from the message board for a while; welcome. About 20 cruises here--six or so PP. I too am travelling solo, but PP (as you can see from this message board) is a friendly crowd.
Are you staying in So. FL after the crossing? Airfares are so outrageous in and out of GSP (Greenville, SC) that it was cheaper for me to add a night in Fort Lauderdale and take a budget (Allegiant) flight the next morning. I am booked into the Elysium. I used to live in Lauderdale and it is a ho-hum type place on the beach. Worth considering for "our crowd" staying over in FL.
Again, Welcome.

...yes, I HAVE found PP to be a friendly bunch. Really looking forward to the extended vacation with lots of sea days.
So, to introduce myself: 55 yo, was partnered for 20years, single for last ten. Twice retired. Left Ft. Lauderdale 2 years ago for a fun job in SC (I find I really like working)--CEO of small public foundation. Love the job--but withering socially. Sing with Greenville Gay Mens Chorus, but that is an hour away.
Both of my favorite cruises were PP: Baltic and Buenos Aires/Santiago. Others were less memorable locales, but good groups.

I booked today. Have been with Pied Piper a half dozen times or so--looking forward to it, but...this is the first time I've sailed solo. So hoping for the friendliest of groups!

...transatlantic ending 11/7 has not yet posted -- so I only got enough points (280) in the conversion to be considered Select, although the recent crossing should have taken me to 11 credits. Hope they fix that.
