On our recently completed Spirit cruise we went to drop our backpacks off in our cabin closet (as we always do) and were immediately admonished by our steward for even being there.   Our cabin obviously wasn't touched yet - beds were stripped, garbage not emptied, so it wasn't like I was going to camp out there.  There was no way I was lugging my 15 lb. backpack around for 2 1/2 hours.  If we were in the cabin 20 seconds it was a lot.  Wasn't a stellar start in our introduction  to our steward.

Same with me and my cruise was on the Spirit as well. So it might be an issue with that ship in particular. My steward ended being amazing.

  2. I was on the Getaway last week and I had the pork belly as an appetizer but they told us that the ribeye was not available. There excuse was that the shipment was not of a good quality. (Friends of mine went the night before and the excuse that night was that it was being discontinued but the menus hadn’t been modified. )

  3. Nevermind...seems I was having a browser issue. Tried in a different browser and it submitted fine. :-)

I'm having issues sending through the link on CCL. I've tried Google Chrome, Explorer and from my iPad. Which browser did you use so that it worked. :-)

    Thanks,

  4. Paul, what were the internet packages available on your sailing? I gave heard and seen different post from others.

Do they have the unlimited option for one device at a time or just by the minutes?

    Thanks

I can answer this question as well!

When I sailed the Breeze for the US Inaugural, they did have the Unlimited package. When I cruised this past March on the Breeze again, they had discontinued the "Unlimited package" due to too many people utilizing it and slowing down the system. Apparently once they discontinued it, the system became much faster for everyone.

  5. I met Adri on my Liberty sailing last July. She is the best. She made me a new drink every night. If you enjoy a good martini or mixed fruit drink, be sure to stop by. My favorite one had blueberries in it. Come to think of it, she makes a great chocolate one too.

I will miss the Alchemy Bar on the Breeze.

    Cheers!

If you are sailing the Breeze before march 30, go see Silviya in the Piano Bar. Best bartender ever. She can make any Martinis your heart desires. Alex was really good too, but he's since been moved to the Lido deck! :-(

  6. OMG thats him!!! Just called my daughter in the room and asked if she remembered who it was...Of course her face lights up and says "thats Alex"!! I told her hemaybe on our ship come April, she's so cute cause thenshe says, "you think he'll remember my drink?"!! Too cute!! Oh and thanks so much for posting that pic, you made her nite!

Just as an additional footnote to this. I too was on the 2-day & 8-day US Inaugural and Alex ROCKS!! He is planning to be on the Breeze until June. The only thing is that they might transfer him to the Spirit out of Australia. He is on stand-by! That's what he told me on the last night of the cruise.

  7. We both had the Bacon Mac & Cheese. I don't know why but it wasn't as great. Don't get me wrong, it was still damn tasty but not a smorgasm like the first couple times we had it. I honestly wonder if it was just reheated from last night (it was on the menu for both Friday and Saturday).

I agree, I had the Mac'n Cheese as well (I had early dining) and it wasn't as good as before! The Chicken tasted re-heated and the pasta was dry!
