  1. Op I have to go with the majority here. I've sailed on the Sunshine twice' date=' both times at capacity including the inaugural New Orleans cruise and never felt she was any more crowded than any other cruise I've been on. Pretty much loved everything about her. The serenity is 2nd to none in my opinion. I hoping to get to book her for a third time. Enjoy your cruise, you'll be happy you booked her.[/quote']

So cruising with my Mom. She's in her 80's. She's on Deck1 and I'm on Deck 8 and trying to figure out if all elevators from 1, get to deck 8, so I can guide her properly. I'm a little worried about her doing the Muster drill alone. I never even thought of this stuff until now and we're leaving tomorrow on a full ship. :( Any help would be great.

  2. Mom is cruising to Bermuda soon. She is elderly but able to get around, she's going with a friend, same. Anyone have any suggestions on excursions or what they can safely do without me worrying they'll miss the ship LOL

Explorer of the seas, think they are there from 8-4

    thanks for the help

  3. My hubby and I are Platinum, and may be driving with other family not platinum. We have priority debarkation, and are using self assist. Does anyone know if our family can join us for debarkation? I don't mind them waiting in a different are for embarkation, but debarking would mean we would have to wait to drive home.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Kathy

  4. We live in NJ, so no hotel necessary, but we have cruised on the Splendor several times and research parking regularly. Best deal is from Alliance Parking, they have what they call 3-14day car storage for $19.00 a day. They are located 1 mile from the port. My husband drops me off, with the luggage and I get that taken by the porters, he goes parks the car and walks to the port. About 10 minute walk. On Disembarking, we do walk off. We walk to the street with the luggage, and he goes to get the car while I wait for him with the luggage. It works great. Here is the website.

We use the 560 West 43rd location, it's the closest.

You can easily stay in an inexpensive place in Jersey about 20 minutes from the port and drive in the morning of and use this service.

Like I said we've used it several times and it works wonderfully.

    Hope this helps.... :)

  6. So I've been to Nassau and would like to do a relaxing daypass, and I have done the Hilton, not sure it's worth $60. I heard the Melia/Sheraton is a nice place. You don't get food or drink, but everything else for $30.00.

Anyone know of this place? And you opinions are appreciated

    thanks
