Hi! Just off the Freedom yesterday. We arrived at the pier on 06/16/18 around 11:00. The doors were open and there was no line. This was the easiest embarkation. We immediately checked in and walked onto the ship. I did not see any damage worth reporting.

Thanks for taking the time to post your report. We will do this itinerary in a few weeks. Your comments are very helpful. Personally, I like the Latin vibe, it makes the cruise a little more fun.

We did the Chef's Table on the NOS last month. One of our party was allergic to shell fish and they were happy to substitute chicken.

We were on the Navigator last month. We prepaid the BOGO a week or two before embarkation. Upon our arrival we went to Chops to ask about our reservation. The hostess told us that our reservations were downloaded but not assigned to a specific restaurant or time. She offered to make our reservations for the venue and times of our choosing. It could not have been easier.

I just got off the Navigator yesterday. I read the OP's comments before we left and was paying attention to the upsell. We were approached a few times. The pitch seemed informational and not a hard sell (I'm a salesman, I know a hard sell). After two days we hardly heard a peep.
BTW, we did take advantage of some specialty dining options because they knocked off a few $$'s here and there.

We disembarked Saturday, too. Had a wonderful week of fun and sun. The crew worked very hard to ensure we had a wonderful experience. It took me a coupe of days on board to remember to notice any short comings on the furniture, flooring, and fixtures. I had to look pretty hard to find any noticeable flaws. It was our first time in a JS. So spoiled now. First time in Giovanni's, too. Ate breakfast in the MDR every morning and for lunch on only sea day (another first). Only went to the Windjammer twice.
I highly recommend this ship and the southern islands it sails to.

Great review so far. We will be on Adventure next week doing the same itinerary I believe.
Ditto!!
Thanks for your review. We have our reservations for Sand Castle, too

We will be on Adventure in 19 days. Besides your balcony where is your favorite spot to do well anything? Could be people watch, have a drink, look at the sea or anything.
Sky Bar for the daily sail away, and the Blue Note for a pre dinner cocktail.
Perhaps you will see me there.
Wow. 19 days. Can hardly wait.

I took a Swiss Army Knife last time. I took it on board with my carry on bag and no one noticed it at the San Juan pier. Next day I took it off ship, but ship security saw it in my back pack when I came back and took it. I was able to pick it up after we cleared customs. It was in a box with several other Swiss Army knives. There was a rubber band wrapped around it with my cabin number so I know it was mine.

First time having a Jr Suite.
Beside the size of the cabin, is there any perks with a Jr Suite vs a balcony cabin?
Thanks for asking the question. I'm a first timer for a JS for our next sail on the Adventure, too. I knew about the double points but wasn't sure about the robes and coffee maker.
I am looking forward to other replies!

Thanks for the video. I enjoyed this very much. I also like your Breeze, video, too. I have a reservation for Sand Castle and it's nice to see a vid of it.
Did you use a GoPro? If so, did you use filters for the underwater video?
Thanks!!!

I'm finally back!! Here is all the info for all of you wondering about Fan-ta-Sea!
Thank you very much for your detailed review. We did this 4 years ago, some things have changed, but I think RCI's description is faithful to your review. We booked this for April and I am looking forward to the long sail back to the ship. It put me in a very happy place.

Enterprise is not too far from the pier/airport. You will probably need to catch a cab.

Nice!
What were the frames per minute?
Thanks

Thank you very much for your review. We will be on the ship/itinerary in a couple months. Very informative!!

Are they still playing salsa music in the Blue Moon?
Thanks!!

Wow, it must have been a port intensive cruise (or a shorter cruise). For us, the ship is the destination so we are happy with 3 full sea days (+ embarkment day)
Southern Caribbean. 5 ports on a 7 day cruise. Not for the lighthearted!

I have taken A DSLR to the beach. I'm just careful with it and makes sure our belongings are never unattended. This year I am bringing a GoPro Hero. How cool would that be to take in the water while your children are splashing around? You can even hand it to them and watch video of the cruise through their eyes.

Last time onboard we had only one sea day. The pool area is so crowded that we just:
Had a late breakfast
Watched the towel folding demo
Sat in on a Q & A with Captain and Sr. Staff
Late Lunch
Booked the next cruise
Hit the pool late in the afternoon when the early diners were getting ready for diner
All with a beverage in hand

Lawgirl. I did this excursion almost 4 years ago. I had a bad hip (had it replaced right after the cruise) and did not have any issues getting to the beach. The catamaran has a stairway that they drop in the surf and you have to wade ashore. Crew is super helpful and will assist her if she needs it. Have fun!

DW and I booked the 04/24/16 JOTS directly with RCI and DD booked through a TA. DD forwarded an email from her TA saying this cruise is chartered and gave her the run down on the shipboard credit and booking compensation. The email from RCI also stated that reservations needed to be changed by 06/03/14.
For individual reservations call 888-281-9344 ext 28546.
I'd like to know why I haven't recieved a contact from RCI about this.

I'm booked on the 04/24/16 JOS. It's the first sailing out of drydock. I booked it while on the JOS last month and I called RCI last weekend to take advantage of the BOGO. There didn't seem to be any problems at that time. I also just logged into my reservation and it's stil there.
Boy, would I be upset if they cancelled. I got and aft balcony and my DD booked a hump.

We were on the Jewel last month and thought very highly of the ship. The common areas were all neat and clean. Cabins were satisfactory. Service was pretty good and the food was alright. We were also on a 5 port intinerary and we were so tired we never went to any of the shows. We can't really think of any reasons not to recomend it

Last year I put on a jacket and tie on a Caribbean cruise. It was so hot in the common areas that I ditched the jacket and tie and wore a Hawaiian shirt.
