1. When is the first sailing with the 7 pm departure?

Because what I am really wondering about is what time is the muster drill? 4?, 5?, 6? they can not mess up dinner with muster right?

It still hasn't been determined exactly what time the muster drill will be or exactly what time the sail away party will start. We are a group of 17 and I am working with special events to coordinate our restaurant reservations. As of this morning, they said it isn't set yet and they are waiting before doing our reservations until this information is known.

  2.
Leftover credit is not likely to be an issue for most people, most excursions for 2 will easily use up the $50 for that port and then some.
At the moment the promo does not offer a specialty dining credit (previous versions of the promo did have this for the cheaper cabin categories). Right now all categories get a specialty dining package of 3 to 6 meals, as gpb11 explained.

The terms of the current promo are here.
We booked back in July for The Escape with a $50 dining credit....it applies to the first two of us in the cabin, meaning we can eat in any speciality restaurant and have $100 to spend. I asked about my kids coming with us and my 18 year old can be included in the $100 and our 14 year can eat off the kids menu for free (he is a bit picky and doesn't like anything fancy). I called this morning and that's the information I got as i had forgotten what the promo was all about at that time.
  3. How much are the day passes at various hotels? We are cruising in May and have extended family, group of 17 so far (range in age from 14-75)....thinking a pass would suit everyone but would like an idea of cost.

  4. Exactly. I wish I could get/use the package by day, as we'll be out at port most the day on Thursday. Ugh. Thanks everyone! Ill figure it out. I heard there maybe a discount if you purchase drink package when you board instead of before hand. True?

I don't think it's cheaper to get on on board but you don't have to get it on the first day or even second day if you have a 7 night cruise, so that makes it cheaper. Even on the long port day, there is still dinner and the evening. Keep in mind, it isn't just alcoholic drinks.....soda, fresh squeezed oj with breakfast, water bottles to take with you off the ship, non alcoholic frozen drinks are all included in the package. Although these are cheaper than alcholic drinks, 3-5 of these a day along with alcohol will easily be worth the money, even with a long port day. I also love the idea of trying a few new drinks a day and seeing what I might love and having a couple of frozen drinks by the pool sounds like heaven!

  5. Don't forget that the gratuities also cover your room stewart as well as the servers who assist you and bus the tables at breakfast and dinner, including in the WJ. I prefer to think of the gratuities as a service charge and then feel relieved of the need to worry about who to tip at the end.

I feel the same way, the gratuities go to several people so I feel it is only right to keep the full amount there and tip extra for anyone you feel deserves it. We gave extra to our waiter, ass't waiter and room steward as well as we felt they went above and beyond.

As for tables in the dining room, if you have MTD, your table is reserved for you, if you aren't going to use it or want to change times for an evening, it is best to notify the dining room so your table can be used for someone else. It helps to eliminate line ups.

  6. Do you like to try new drinks? On port days, are you doing excursions so you would be off the ship for a good part of the time in port or more time on the ship? 5-6 drinks a day really isn't much, especially if you drink soda, coffee, water bottles either on the ship or when going to ports, a couple of drinks by the pool in the afternoon, wine with dinner, a drink or two throughout the evening and you have gotten your money's worth. I have looked at the packages several times and go back and forth but I would love to have more drinks by the pool and if I don't like something, I can get something else! If you are going to one of Royal's private islands, those drinks are included.

  7. you don't need the email to add friends, their user name is also easy to add! I am wahmx3 feel free to add me. Don't worry about sugar, if it is mainly coming from healthy foods such as fruit and whole grains. I really watch my sodium to help with weight loss.

To add friends, once you click on email, at the top, click on find members and you can add their user name to send a friend request. I find it much easier than using people's emails.
