  1. Now that my honey is retiring I can start my search on Alaska.    Its just the begining    (I thought 2025    but have to push it out to 2026_)    giving me lots of time to see what I want and when I want it.    I always wanted to do alaska   but to cruise alaska I want to do it right and that means extended vacation time- which neither of us had while still working,.

Coming from the east coast I want a day to two to get acclimated to the time change

and I want to stay a few days after.   -  to do this am i to take a cruise from Vancover?  I dont see land tours from Seattle to get me to the land tours.    Or am i not looking at it correct?

I am thinking August.     and via Princess    (as i always said when i do alaska I want to do Princess as they are the ones who started it all)

its gotta be the bigger sails as i dont think the smaller ships like coral can do me justice.

We have sailed carnival,. Royal,  Princess and Celebrity.

This cruise is a one and done-- so its gotta be perfect.

Can you help make my dreams spectacular?

I will be on Solstice with my 12yo daughter and 9yo son next month. This is our first time on Celebrity. How strict is the kids club in terms of separating the kids into age groups? I saw one thing that said age groups of 10-12 and 6-9. Our kids would prefer to stay together if possible, but my past experience on Norwegian was that they were pretty strict about the age groups.

12 year old could move down    but yikes   why would you do that to that kid.        Put them each into their own program and let them make new friends.       But curious on what you were able to do on other sailings?

Has anyone been to Coral  Beach recently?

I researched to go here--   after looking at Youtube I decided its not for me.    No reason to rent an umbrella as there are ton of trees for shade.   But you have to rent your chairs    here is the one video that made me change my mind

It was hard to not compare our cruise to Carnival throughout the week. I will say that Celebrity wins in just about every way. It wasn't really that close. We are saying goodbye to Carnival and now have two more Celebrity cruises booked.

We have sailed 33 times.   Took our first celebrity in January.   I dont think we will be back to Carnival.   We booked the reflection the day we got off.  (shoulda did it onboard)

We loved the carnival cruises  or we would not have taken that many   But the demographic has changed  and the entitlement, abusive behavior from fellow cruisers are what made us look elsewhere.

Going to Cozumel in June with Grand kids 16 and 21, which would be a better choice?

We have been to the first two but was 15 years ago or so. AI is not that important because we don't drink but not a big deal.

    Thanks.

Nachi Cocum limits the amount of people they let book for a day pass  BUT ther is nothing for the kids     except beach and pool     Mr Sanchos offers water toys that kids that age will really like

We are planning to do an excursion in Cozumel and would like to add something for an hour or so before or after our excursion in Cozumel.  We will be cruising Carnival Paradise.  Is there anything interesting for kids within a 10-15 min walk?  I don't recall which place Carnival docks.  We aren't interested in shopping, but a pool, beach, sightseeing, or snorkeling could be fun.  We aren't looking for anything spectacular, just a quick fun add-on right by the ship.

for an hour-- i wouldnt be getting wet.  You do not want to be wet getting on a excursion bus

Ok, so I just searched Dolphinaris and this thread came up...well, not really a thread, because nobody helped.  So, did you go?  Will you help me? 🙂  Im thinking about it also.

check out cozumelinsider.com   and look along their top tool bar for dolphin excursions.    they offer huge discounts the earlier you book

In past I saw them change menu a couple of times during the week , on last cruise in March on summit they had same menu each night . We really enjoyed it and went twice we normally switch between main and alternate menus . Will definitely do it multiple times in 2 months on next cruise.

kinda wonder if the menu i am seeing on the app is correct.   Looks nothing like what has been posted above

Sorry if this question has been asked before but what is the earliest flight I should book if I don't want to walk off with my luggage? I'm arriving into FLL and flying to BOS.  There is a flight that leaves around 11:00. I know the airport is close to the terminal.  Can I realistically have the cruise line handle my luggage and still get to the airport for a morning flight?

    are you using luggage valet?

  10. who gets the tip when we do not go to the main dining room?   I often wondered if these tips are pooled     But wait staff get different tables.   some will get three   some get 4   doesnt sound very fair if its pooled

  11. Not luxury   but think its more adult setting as the beach next door has water toys etc and  more geared towards family.     We are trying Nachi Cocum.    THey allow only 130 people in for the day
