It was to be today but it was cancelled. I was packed and getting ready to drive to the port when we found out. 😞 we will reschedule but not sure when. Getting our time off from work and college at the same time takes a bit of effort. 

Our cruise was cancelled this morning and the ship is currently off of the coast of Miami waiting for a crew member to be tested. 

I’m curious to see what the crowds on the ship will be like. I wonder how many people canceled...we are all packed and ready to get on the Regal tomorrow 🙂 

Have a great time. We board regal princess tomorrow.

My concern is that someone on the ship will become diagnosed with Coronavirus during our trip and we will get quarantined in our cabins along with the entire ship for several weeks. When people get flu or norovirus or whatever else it is on board ship they don’t quarantine the entire ship for weeks in their cabins. 
 

That’s what is worrying me and why I might not pay the remaining balance at the end of the month and just lose our deposit.

 

What would be useful would be to hear of other cruises where someone has displayed symptoms while on board and the cruise line/authorities have taken a different approach. 

I thought I read somewhere that the Diamond Princess had them quarantined on ship because that is what the Japanese officials ordered. We all saw how that went, so hopefully, God forbid this happens again, they will handle the quarantine differently.

My mom, sister, eldest daughter, and I are going on a Western Caribbean cruise in a little over a week. All of my coworkers are telling me we should cancel, but is it bad that I am not worried and still want to go? I haven't had a vacation with my mom since, well, forever. This will be the first one and I feel like, since we aren't going to any areas where it has reported outbreaks (that I know of), the risk is low. Unless the cruise line itself cancels it, our plans are still to go and have fun.

Maybe bring a noise machine? I have a small one that I sleep with at night and it blocks out most noise.
