  1. As a frequent flyer and regular cruiser, I agree with others that 10:45am is too early by about an hour. Yes you might make it to FLL on time, but it is not worth the stress. Please remember that flights begin boarding 30 minutes before the flight time, and they close the doors 10 minutes prior.

The earliest I would ever consider is 11:30am for a FLL flight after a Miami docking.

What's the earliest MIA you've done since it's a lot closer?

  2. We were on Liberty a week ago and they were not showing the World Cup games on ESPN. They only had the games that were on ABC. I know that's not your question, but just wanted to mention this because everyone was shocked that they didn't have the games.

  3. Yep, we just got off the 8 day southern on Sunday and our cabin was not cool the entire trip. Maintenance came the first night and we got the same spill about the temp being within their standards. It was OK while we slept--I like snuggling up in the soft comforters but it was too hot. But anytime we were up moving around and especially while getting ready, it was hot and I was sweating!!!

  4. We have done Disney three times (2 on December) and three cruises with our 6 & 4 year old girls.

Disney is not a vacation--it is a trip. It's go go go and see and do all things. There's not a lot of downtime.

Cruising is a lot more relaxing to me and offers some time for my husband and I to spend time together alone.

I love Disney and I love cruising.

For me, it would depend on what type of experience you want.

We took a cruise for our 10 year anniversary.

  5. The Carnival website has been acting strange for a view days. My PVP basically told me today it's job security for her since "it's horrible." I would definitely call to double check pricing right now and not rely on online booking.

  6. I would pack in your checked luggage. We had a sound machine in a carryon bag at Pt. Canaveral to get on the Dream. It was this.

Security took it and said I could go to Guest Services and see about getting it back. I went to Guest Services the first night and they said they didn't know why it was confiscated, but they have the discretion to return it. It was delivered to my stateroom.

I'm just mentioning this to say that if something does get confiscated, I'm sure that you can go to Guest Services and explain the circumstances and they can make a determination.
