  1. We will be in Nassau next Friday on a short cruise (party of 6) and are very interested in renting Jet Skiis. I know there have been lots of discussions about the dangers but we have rented in the Bahamas and Caribbean before and are experienced riders.

Do they offer these at Junakoo? If not, do they offer them at a beach that you do not have to buy a hotel day pass? We don't want to spend any extra money as we are planning on spending most of the day doing our own walking tour or playing on Junakoo. Just really want to get the jet skiis in while we are there.

I know there are several threads I am just super confused!

  2. After talking to 5 carnival agents and getting various answers from each, I finally got in writing through and email that the girls can board with a temp ID, Birth Certificate, and their school photo ID. I was the they would make a note on our booking to let the embarkation manager know.

Lord help the person who gives us any trouble :P 4 fiesty college girls who don't put up with any BS in the way of our very much needed vacation!!

  3. They unfortunately don't have passports. We leave next Wedmesday so we are going to hope either that will work or they could receive the hard copies in the mail.

The one rep I spoke with said it should be alright since the picture would be on it. Hoping for the best.

  4. didja ever think to call carnival and get the real answer from the real people you will be sailing with? bet they could tell you...

if you booked thru carnival directly then call the 1-800-764-7419 carnival phone number and ask them. if you booked thru a travel agent call them...

and if they do not know... call 1-800-764-7419 and ask carnival directly....

Yes, of course I called but as many members here know, you can get many conflicting answers from various customer service reps.

I tend to rely on the boards for advice from people who have had first hand experience rather than hypothetical Q&A through Carnival.

  5. Okay, I just have to ask. :) How do you get a paper copy? :D

That's what the DMV gives out until the other one comes in the mail. They usually take the old license so you can't give it out to someone else (sneaky) and one of the girls lost hers all together. I'm hoping the paper will suffice. It has their photo on it

  6. I have a question about the age rule. Currently we have 2 cabins booked with 2 people each. Ages are 46, 35, 21, and 20. As of right now, I split us up so that the 20 year old would be 'booked' with the 46 year old (because of the 25 age rule). My mom and I were planning on just switching keys when someone wasn't paying attention (our names out Katharine and Kristina and we look about identical anyway) so that me (21) can be in the room with my best friend (20). I read that if I go to the purser's desk when we board they could switch my mom and I's room? We are just in the cabin next door, not trying to go crazy but just wanted our own cabin. Has anyone tried this?

    Thanks!

  7. Yeah same thing for me. I booked a cruise last year while I was 21 and my boyfriend turned 21 just before the cruise with no problems.

Just booked one for March with my mom and a friend (clearly of age) and my bestfriend who is only 20 so hoping switching room keys won't be too big of a problem when we get on board.

  8. We are also in Port from 12-8 and opted for a Booze Cruise

we will be there next Week, I can let you know how it was if you want.

I think that may be exactly what we're looking for. We did a similar sounding one in Freeport last year for only $30 a person for a 2 hour all you can drink rum punch tour we found while exploring the beach. If you could let me know how it went that would be great!! I hope you have a great time!

  9. This is my 8th (?) Cruise, and 4th with Carnival. Took a 5 day with my boyfriend last May to Freeport and Nassau and am going on another with my best friend for our Spring Break in March. My mom and her bestfriend will be going too but don't even really care to get off the ship in Nassau.

Anyone have an good recommendations for 2 college girls to do in Nassau? I'm sure we'll hit Senor Frogs (just to say we did) but looking for anything else that someone might recommend? We took a really fun 'booze cruise' in Freeport. Maybe the same kind of thing in Nassau?

Any tips would be great!! Even just good beaches or cheap hotel packages for the day. We're only there from 12-8.

    Thanks!!! :p
