Can you give us the name of your tour guide in Pompeii?
Her name was Libe, from Lucia Pompeii guide. You can email Lucia on info@luciapompeiiguide.com.

We were on this cruise late April/early May and booked a private tour from https://www.katakolon-express.com/. We were very happy with the tour and the guide. We had a private tender therefore did not have to wait in line for the cable car going up. The tour started with Oia which was great as we were there before other tours and it wasn't very crowded. With a private tour you can decide where you spend most time and Oia is definitely worth every minute.
Sounds ideal. There are only 3 of us so will contact them to see if they can do this for us. Don’t really want to do a larger group as Oia is definitely a bucket list visit and we’d rather just work to our own timetable.

We were considering the ship excursion “Oia on your own” but this only gives us 90 minutes in Oia. We feel we would want approx 3 hours in Oia to really get a flavour of the town and appreciate the sights over a glass of wine. Any thoughts for those who have been to Oia would be appreciated.

Used Iaccarino tours - picked up from our Sorrento hotel. Great tour for 4 of us to the Amalfi Coast. Booked with Tony by email. Our guide/driver was Enrico. Highly recommend. http://goo.gl/6TmH2N

Yes, used them 2 years ago. Great tour, personalised and fab for getting priority on the ferry from Sorrento - there was quite a queue and we walked right on board. Lunch at lovely little winery. Highly recommend.

We took the train from Sorrento to Pompeii and had arranged for a private tour for the four of us - cost effective and as we were met off the train by our tour guide, we were through the gates as soon as they opened. We chose to view a section of Pompeii For 2.5 hours which was great - as we were leaving, the larger tours were filling up the site. This tour was the highlight for us (also did Capri and Amalfi Coast as private tours). Unforgettable experience.

Normally people have to be out of their cabins by 8 am.:D
We were on Voyager over Christmas. The latest disembarkation time we went for was 8.30 - 09.00am, however when our luggage tags arrived our disembark time was 07.30am. Went to guest service desk who advised us we could simply head to deck 4 when we wanted to disembark and our luggage would be waiting for us. We opted to depart the cabin by 08.00am and let the cabin attendant know so he could start setting up for the next round of guests, then went for breakfast and finally casually strolled off in under 10 minutes to get through customs etc. Too easy!

We were on RCCL's Voyager over Christmas and ordered a diet coke in Windjammer. The waiter brought me a glass filled and then when he realised I hadn't bought the soda package, whipped the glass away and returned with an empty glass and a can. We were quite thankful actually - hate the soda gun mix which is why we don't purchase the soda package.
Best way to get to Pompeii from Sorrento?
