I always bring my fan. Mostly to have the air circulating and when we were on the Liberty in September, it never got freezing cold, the room was cool but never cold.
We did see a gentleman carry on a box fan.......Now he meant business!

Sailed on September 3rd and we Loved this ship!
The staff was amazing! We were surprised how they would remember your name each time they saw you and if it was just a passer by, they would acknowledge you with a friendly Hello!
Catch the Playlist shows! They both were AWESOME! The Hasbro Game Show was fun also. Chris "Donkey" Salazar was a very energetic CD. Catch the Dr Suess Storytime & parade. It was fun to watch.
BAR B QUE Back of the ship on the deck above the Lido. Very Good and never was busy.
ENJOY it ALL!

It was extremely hot on the back of the ship where the shack is located. Best to find a nice seat inside with a view.
Little hint, they do have shrimp (on some days) at the Blue Iguana Cantina. You can ask for a scoop or two on the side. They are grilled with very nice seasoning on them! ;)

We will be in Aruba on February 13, 2018. Was wondering if the Carnival Festivities will still be going on?
Is the schedule of events available?
Any info would be appreciated.
Enjoy! :D

Do they still give the Friends and Family coupon (discount) if they sail when you sail?
I like the 2 week window option. I'm guessing I would need to call Carnival directly for the OBC/Discount?

Is it true that it takes aprox 5 hours to get off the ship in Cuba?
I'm one of those "on the fence" :/

The $50 Spa Cards do not indicate that you have to use it for a Spa TREATMENT. So do not toss it out! Go buy a couple bottles of shampoo! $24 each. :)

I have heard that the Carnival Pride's Steak House is the best out of the entire fleet.
Any truth to this?
We have had ok to good experiences, but the Pride is supposed to be exceptional. We are sailing in January and it's our first time on the Pride.
What do you think?

We purchased a photo and received a "Free" gift from Shutterfly.
A small luggage tag that would have the photo we purchased on it.
Went to the site to enter the code and no luck getting to a Shutterfly site that includes Carnival.
So my question to you fine folks is............
Is there such a site or am I just missing something?

What cruise terminal is the Paradise currently docking at?
We leave Sept 8th and this will be our 6th time on the Paradise, our home away from home! We enjoy the quaint comfort of this smaller ship, especially for a quick long weekend. :D

We have been on both and are Platinum Carnival Cruisers, but if those are the 2 choices I would have to go with the Navigator. Sunshine is cramped/crowded and even with all the new revamps that have been done, it still lacks the comfort that other ships offer. The Navigator was a new ship for us to cruise on and we really enjoyed it. More comfortable. OBC is always a plus. No mater what cruiseline you decide to use. Food on RCL not as good as Carnival, but you will not starve.

Great Review! Can not wait to sail the Pride in January 2017.
I have a question....Breakfast options, I know in the MDR and of course the Lido, but I have been on other ships that off an "extended continental" breakfast in the area near or around the Taste Bar. Offering hot cereal, pastries and sometimes even scrambled eggs, meat ect.
Is there such a spot on the Pride?

Do as Luke Saint Joe suggested. We emailed the Maitred and they forward it to the Steakhouse Manager.
Just make sure you mention the Chef's Table and then confirm with the Steakhouse, once you are on board.
They will send you a confirmation with the day and time, to your cabin.

Yes it was the Midport Garage. We dropped off our luggage, went to the garage and there was a shuttle waiting to take right back to the terminal.
Yes Heidi, it was Feb 6th sailing.
I understand they are building or remodeling that terminal. It's just that we have never encountered such a mess of an embarkation. If they are going to have 6-8 cruise ships in port at one time, maybe they should have more customs agents? Just a thought.

Torture! No matter what ship goes out of this terminal, do not book it!
It took 2hrs to board the ship and that was with an arrival time of 12:45pm.
Extremely long lines to just get through security, then more long lines to get checked in. It was more of an empty wharehouse than an inviting terminal.
We noticed no special treatment of the special needs passengers or the Crown and Anchor passengers. People with wheelchairs were corralled outside and waited. Crown and Anchor members did get into a special line, that pretty much ended up right alongside the rest of us.
We were concerned with the parking and that was no problem what so ever. The shuttles were right there to take us to and from.
Debarkation. They were running 1 & 1/2 hours behind because there were not enough Customs Agents, so the terminal quickly filled up to capacity and they could not send any more passengers off the ship.
I'm not blaming RCI, they just got the short stick when Ft Lauderdale put NOS at that terminal. It did however give us a bad impression right off the bat.

Does anyone know if they do any thing special on Super Bowl Sunday?
Special party, snacks, viewing?
Not a huge football fan, but we enjoy the "Big Game". :D
-
Has Chops lost it's WOW factor?
We haven't been on RCL in 8yrs and in the day Chops was the best steakhouse at sea.
-
Is lunch available in Sabor?
Reservations required?
What is the fee?
-
We would like to get off the ship and find someone to take just the 2 of us on a tour through town, stop at Romney Manor, the Black Rocks, Timothy Hill (Southern Peninsula).
Would the "Taxi Stand" be our best bet? Seeing how we just want
to see those few stops.

We sail her in 20 days! Sounds like we chose the right ship for a relaxing 5 day cruise.
Interested in the Havana Café and the Grand Plaza (Taste Bar) for breakfast.
as there a wide range of choices, or just Danish and coffee?
How about Lunch? Was it offered in these places also?
What were the shows like in the Liquid Lounge? Have heard mixed reviews.
-
How often does the menu change? Is it different from ship to ship?
Any current menus floating around here?
Sailing the Sunshine in 22 days! :D

Paradise 5 times
Sensation 3 times
Breeze 2 times

Outside of the 4J cabins on Deck 3, are there chairs or loungers set up?
-
I understand that on the outside of Deck 3 (Lobby) it's either Portside or Starboard, is a Smoking area.
Is that True?
Thanks, az mom for the great pointers.

When does Carnival usually run their sales. There for awhile it seemed that they had some sort of special offer each week. I missed the $50 deposit pp offer and am kicking myself. ;p
