  1. I did approach Celebrity about this issue.  I was contacted by Zoe Wright in the Executive Office today.  She went through the booking process herself and agreed that the website is not clear when the deposit is non-refundable.  She has touched based with the website staff and they will be making changes to make the terms more clear when booking online.

I was impressed with her attention to detail and the priority she gave the issue.  🙂

  2. Bummed to hear that! Going on the Dawn next month and was unsure on whether buying the Spa pass would be worth it.

It seems the spa pass is cheaper on Dawn than other newer NCL ships. And if both the kids and regular pool will be crowded, maybe the indoor spa one will be a nice alternative? Any input you guys have is appreciated!

Our friends did the indoor spa pool during our cruise in August and they loved it. It was never crowded and at times they were the only ones in it.

  3. Hi,

this was a room with an obstructed view. Does anyone know if that is correct.

I think the reason they list it as obstructed is because it looks out over the bow of the ship. Some may feel that will obstruct the view of the sea. But to view over the bow is sometimes better than just looking out at sea.

  4. Is there anything else that broke during the storm that has not been fixed yet that you can let us know what that is. thanks

For the most part all the major damage has been fixed. The giraffe still has a scarf around his neck to hide the damage. Some ceiling panels missing on upper deck, plywood near the dog house. But all the other damage seems fixed. Every now and then we will see small pieces glass on the pool deck, not sure if that was from the storm or someone broke glass recently.

The ship is absolutely beautiful. Everything is clean and brand new. Even the public bathrooms are great. You just press a button and the door opens. :D

  5. Oh, and currently we have been sailing home next to the Norwegian Breakaway. They are off our port side and the sun is currently setting.

We have found the specialty restaurants to be very good. The free ones tend to rush you through the meal and the food is nothing special. (Keep in mind that everyone experience is different). Breakfast in the Solarium Bistro is recommended if you want to avoid the buffet crowds. But the buffet on this ship is one of the best we have had (for lunch and one dinner). Lots of salad options, fruit, sandwiches. Plenty of seating. We usually find a seat first in buffets, but this is the first one that we haven't had to worry about seating.

There is so much happening on the ship, something for everyone, if something doesn't work for you then you can find something else that will.

  6. We are currently on the ship, enjoying our last day at sea. Cruise has been fantastic.

Most of the repairs have been done to the ship (ie the roof in the indoor pool area and in the solarium have been fixed) Pool water is not heated at all, so very cold except for hot tubs. Northstar has been running for past several days.

It has been a good cruise and you will love a lot of what the Anthem has to offer. My wife and I just enjoyed the bumper cars. Brought back some memories.

Sorry, I would post more, but back to some fun!

  7. A new cool feature on the cruisedeckplans.com website are quick links to YouTube cabin videos. Much better than pictures. Just view the category listing on the deck plan pages and look for the YouTube icons. Click on a icon in the category you are interested in and a actual video taken by a cruiser shows up. :)

Best thing is you don't need to be a member for this feature.
