  1. We have a cruise booked Jan 24th going to Key West, Freeport, and Naussa. All of our other cruises in that area have been in May. What has been your experience as far as water temps and the weather in general in January? We would like to book an all inclusive. Thanks!

  2. Yes, it is possible to get another offer if you turned down the first. The only way we knew about the offer was our PVP called us last fall. Had a new grand baby on the way and just couldn't make it. I told him (PVP) to please call us if another offer came up. To my surprise he called in January and we are cruising May 11! Good luck!

  3. That doesn't sound right. Last year I didn't even get enough for Drinks on Us and neither did DH. I did get DOU year before last but I doubt I earned 5000 points. We received an offer last fall which we couldn't take and another this year. If it wasn't for my awesome PVP we would have never known about it. We are booked on the Elation 5 day in May. The offer was probably on the Carnival sight, but I don't go there unless I have a cruise booked. We just tell our PVP to call us if he sees an offer to good to pass up.

  4. Sorry I got my numbers wrong. LOL - CRS disease has kicked in. I have been thinking about Fulton for $8.00 a day if reserved in advance. It is just so convenient to get out of your car and go down the elevator to check in. If we have to go somewhere else and ride a shuttle it probably makes more sense to park at Fulton. Thanks for responding.

  5. 4 of our last five cruises we have parked at the port, no problems for $16 per day. My concern is we are on the Elation this time, leaving the day after the Dream. Since the Dream holds about 6000, I am concerned that the garage will be full. I called and spoke with someone at the Port and she said if garage is full they will lead you to another facility and shuttle you to the ship. Has anyone experienced this scenario? Just wondering, as I am a worry wart!!

  6. We have been on both. The Dream is a beautiful ship and has the Cloud 9 Spa, Lanai, and numerous hot tubs throughout the ship. It is lacking the Alchemy Bar, burrito bar, and Guy's Burgers. We enjoyed both ships but I would probably choose Dream if given the choice. Besides you get to leave out of NOLA, one of my favorite cities.

  7. If you are going on the Dream, the port garage should be pretty empty. We usually get there about 1000. We are on the Elation this time and I was concerned about the garage being full with Dream passengers. I called the N.O. PORT AUTHORITY and the lady I spoke with said if that garage is full they will lead you over to their other facility (I'm assuming Julia Street). Said you are guaranteed a spot. It is $16 per day and you pay when you go in the garage. They take credit cards. Very safe.

Some people park in the Fulton Garage. Uncovered parking is $8.00 per day if you reserve in advance. Others say it is safe but I cannot speak on that since we never parked there. They shuttle you to the port and back.

    Hope that helps.

  8. Best I can remember, you do. Massages and such of course are not included. All of the shower areas and locker room are available. If you want to take a shower and get dressed there it is a nice alternative to your cabin bathroom. Plenty of fluffy towels, hair dryers.

  9. We sailed the Dream last year and snagged an aft wrap on deck 9. They are not as big as the aft wraps on other decks but are priced the same as any other balcony. There only two available so they go early. Some complain about noise from chairs above on the aft pool area. Although we heard some scraping a few times it really was a non-issue. Congratulations!

  10. The day pass is $40 and they have very few. Weekly pass is like $199 per person or $300 for couple as my friend and I were a "couple" and did the spa. That pool and the 4 steam rooms were awesome. We loved it

Before our Dream cruise last year I kept reading about a day pass for $35. When we went to the spa to inquire they laughed when we asked about a day pass and said they only sell for the week. My husband ended up getting one just for me for around $150. I went every day but one and really enjoyed all of the therapy rooms. The only drawback was we had an aft wrap and I had to walk the entire length of the ship every morning to get there. Big ship! Definitely think it is worth doing at least once.

  11. I've been on five cruises, 3 ships and on different decks including an aft wrap on deck 9 of the Dream. All have had the same problem. About 5-7 degrees higher than we like. However, it has never been a deal breaker for us. Since we know about it and expect it, we adjust. I will try and check the temp in our Oceanview room on Elation in May. Curious to see if Oceanview temp is any different from balcony cabins.

  12. We had a balcony on the Lido both times. The first time was about half way down the hall on the left and it was somewhat noisey. The next time it was almost all the way forward. These rooms are for two passengers so mostly couples. Very quiet. We loved the convenience of the Lido deck.

  13. My PVP called with a similar casino offer early last fall. We had just sailed in May and couldn't take advantage of it at that time. In Late January or early February he called with the same offer - $50 pp + $100 OBC (hence "free"). Funny, I ignored his first call because i didn't think we could go. My husband talked to him the next week and we had to settle for a five day as the 7 days were snapped up. If you have a great PVP, just tell him/her to call you when these offers come up. You can always say no.

  14. I have searched for any info on Carnival Elation cabin E38 to no avail. I noticed it is under deck 8 where a dining room and other common areas are. Just wondering if it might be noisey. Also, any other information you might know about an Ocean view room on Elation. We usually have a balcony, but due to the Great! Deal we got and money constraints we are giving ocean view a try. Regardless, I will have fun. Thanks.
