  1. Our cruise for July 2024 was cancelled by ncl for a charter. So now we are picking another sailing trying to stay sane date range. Due to that restriction and pricing we are now going to start in Canada and do the land tour after.

any pros or cons of doing land after the 7 day cruise.  It is our first trip to Alaska and want it to be the best vacation for all of us. Group of 30.

    thank you

I don't hang out in SpiceH20 much, but there were some kids in the adult pool at one point. Granted they were with their family, but I went right to the nearest NCL employee and let him know. He immediately notified the deck supervisor and the kids were ejected within 5 minutes.

We had a 10 month old in our party and we were told we could not bring her into spiceh20. Also saw a group of teens be asked to leave. They definitely were enforcing the rules

  3. Getting on and off the boat was not a problem I believe there was a ramp. Getting in and out of the safari bus may be an issue. The step to the safari bus was small but with hand rail it is helpful. Maybe call the tour company and ask if they have an bus with easier access. We really enjoyed the tour when we went.

  4. Hi everyone! My wife and I will be sailing on the Gem 3/18 and can't wait!

Anyone know what the current entertainment line up is?

    Thanks

We sailed 2/18-2/27, there were 3 dance singing shows with the gem dancers. A comedy show (Noodles), A couple who do an acrobatics show, awesome show, a juggler/comedy act(we missed this one) welcome aboard show, and final show also a variety type show.

Lounges had two singers - one played guitar (can't recall either's name) and the other sang and played piano. Both were very good.

  5. I just booked the Land Sea Excursion and was wondering what to expect. NCL's web site gives a kind of vague description. How much time is allowed to explore Soper's Hole on our own? Also, are you allowed to jump in the water at all? Hoping that someone that has done this can shed a little more light on what to expect. Thanks!

We did the land and sea tour last week. You get on the boat and get a coastal tour, they drop you off at a marina to shop for 30 minutes then the rest of the tour is on land via open air buses. It is a nice tour but no swimming involved, a nice tour with alot of information on the island we enjoyed it.
