Just wondering thoughts about the cabanas on great stirrup cay. I am thinking of getting a small one I think the last I looked they were $299. Is it worth the cost? It will be four of us and we are going to be there late June.

Nice post. I really think some people like to complain. I did not find anyone rude on our cruise they work very hard. Freestyle is very relaxing in my opinion and I don't think people understand what to expect. Your vacation is what you make of it.

I was on the jewel in October the year hurricane sandy devastated many areas. We left from NY and were going on the Florida and Bahamas cruise. Let me say this was my first cruise and am about to go on my third with ncl. Our itinerary got changed a few times, but the captain and crew kept everyone safe and kept everyone updated on the situation. I still had a great time with my husband. It was rough and rocky a few nights but it's all about your attitude. We got back the day before the storm hit the ny/nj area and was glad to be home with my family. You can not predict the weather so go and have a good time especially if the deal is great.

Rough weather can happen at any time its part of cruising. My husband and i were on the jewel when hurricane sandy hit. The captain did an amazing job keeping everyone safe. Although the itinerary had to be modified we still had a great time its what you make of it.

Just as a side note my husband and I just booked a cruise on the gem through a warehouse travel company. All the rooms that are available are not always able to be seen on either the travel company's website or NCL;s website. When are TA called ncl we were able to book the rooms we wanted.

when i was on the breakaway in august 2013 I was bronze and was invited. I was surprised because I thought it was silver and above. Not sure why but my mother and father in law were in the same situation, bronze level and invited as well.

We had no problems in a midship ship balcony on deck 14. I actually like the location. Close to a lot of activities.
