Can passengers exit by foot or must a shuttle/tour bus be used? We realise it's a fair trek but happy to consider if it means we can set off earlier.

Can anyone please advise on the current shuttle service from Steinwerder berth in Hamburg? We are looking at an independent tour so trying to gauge the timings.

a. Where is the drop-off in Hamburg?

b. How long does the transfer take?

c. Are the buses available as soon as passengers are cleared for disembarkation?

d. We are scheduled for 7.00am arrival. Is this actual arrival time or approx 'secured & cleared for disembarkation' time?

On the 'old' website, there used to be an extensive list showing the excursions that could be available. This gave you the opportunity to look ahead which ones you fancied or to research DIY if none did. At approx 12wks prior to departure, the definitive list was then put onto CP so you could book your choice if available.

Unless I am looking in the wrong place, I can now only find a few examples eg Hamburg only lists 2 excursions, Tromso only lists 3. Having already visited these ports, I know a lot more choice is available.

Is this another victim of the 'new & improved' website or are they just very well hidden?

There are so many options from which to choose. We are a party of four that agree on the places of interest yet we each prefer a different method to see them!:confused: It may be a case of putting all suggestions into a hat! However, I think either an independent guide or a P&O guided tour that allows some free time to explore on one's own are looking favourable.

Thanks again....whatever we do, it will be a fantastic trip.

We are looking for some guidance on choosing a P&O led excursions to Rome in October. There are 3 contenders that are of interest to us. However, from the very brief overview, they all sound (& are priced) fairly similar.

Any reviews, recommendations, advice etc on value of tour & what sights are included would be very much appreciated.

Like many Rome newbies, we would like to see & learn about as many sights as possible, preferably on foot as opposed to 'on wheels'.

Those we are keen to see include, (exteriors of) Colosseum & Forum, Trevi fountain (restoration to be complete?) & Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Vatican + (interiors of) St Peter's Basilica & Sistine Chapel

During our weekend in the Salisbury area, my husband and I plan to drive over to Southampton to 'catch a glimpse' of Britannia on her maiden sailaway on 14th March. However, P&O seem to be relatively quiet with details of the launch.

Can anyone please help with details on the terminal she is due to sail from & the approx. time? Also, any recommendations for the best vantage point would be great too - either on Hythe or Southampton side of the water?
