  1. Sailing on Allure this summer and trying to choose between the Embassy Suites 17th St. or the Renaissance 17th Street for 1 night pre-cruise. Prices are about the same factoring in breakfasts so cost is not a factor. Would appreciate opinions on which would be a better property to stay in. I've read where the ES has gotten run down but everyone has different opinions.

  2. We are leaving to go on the Allure this summer and are trying to choose between staying pre-cruise one night at either The Embassy Suites 17th St. or the Rennsaisance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel. Price difference is about the same, as is location, so I am looking for opinions of the quality of the hotels, and/or experience. I know the Embassy includes breakfast, but the rate at the Renaissance plus breakfast equals the Embassy rate. Thank you so much!

  3. Looking at Embassy Suites 17th St., and Residence Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port. Seen a lot of reviews on Embassy Suites. Anyone familiar with the Residence Inn? Want a hotel that includes breakfast, and fairly close to port.

  4. We have 1 week when we can cruise. Our choices are the Freedom of the Seas, going to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Roatan Honduras, and Costa Maya----or the Allure of the Seas going to St. Martin, San Juan, and Labadee. Family of 6, all adults--parents and 4 kids in their 20's. Not sure which want to do as we seem to like 1 ship over the other, but seem to like other itinerary better. Any opinions welcome if you have been on these ships or done these itineraries. Thank you.
