I also received a message from my TA this morning. This stated that Seabourn are no longer requiring guests to have a Covid test prior to arriving in Portugal. It also stated that " Seabourn are still strongly advising guests to partake in a test before arriving at the port and leaving for Portugal as if you test positive at check-in you will be required to quarantine ans Seabourn cannot intervene with , and any financial costs cannot be covered by Seabourn for any mandatory quarantine"
We have already booked a supervised rapid flow test on Sunday 27th February and will go ahead with this.

We are booked on 20th April Explorer cruise. We have been told this cruise will now depart from Trieste.
Regent say they will arrange free transport from Venice for all guests who booked their flight or pre cruise hotels through them. Others need to arrange their own transport or purchase transfers from Regent.
We used our Avios points to book our flights and have asked our TA to book a transfer from Regent.
I currently wait for info on the price.

I had my first vaccination this morning.
I was given a card the upper part numbered (1 )showed my name, vaccine type, batch number and vaccine date and my second appointment date.(in my case 15 April)
Under this is lower part numbered (2) which has blanks for
Name of Vaccine
Batch no
Date vaccine given
I assume this, or a note from my GP, would be acceptable when embarking on my booked cruise on June 10th

Disembarked from Odyssey last Saturday. We thought the service onboard was as good if not better than our previous cruise last year on Odyssey and that food in the MDR was improved both in quality and choice

I always book through an agent. I book at least 2 cruises per year, always through the same agent and they kick back part of their commission. Most recently I have received about 10%.on cruises with Seabourn and Regent

We have a V5Gty booking on Odyssey departing Athens on 4th October with a V5Gty
I have been checking my e-pass and found this morning that We have been allocated a V6 cabin

We did the Island / airport tour then in February 2018.
It was very good. A journey along the Atlantic coast then an old mansion where we had a pleasant buffet lunch. From memory we were at the airport around 2pm.

Some other guests went on an Regent excursion to a small village visiting a school and a local market.
They then went to a beach resort. They said they had a good time.

We were in Sihanoukville last week. There was a shuttle to the port gate and one to the market
We went on a tuk tuk ride in the morning and had planned to go on a shuttle to the market in the afternoon, but having gone past it on our ride decided to stay onboard.

We disembarked in Bangkok this weekend. Although we had not been on Mariner for some years we thought the refurbishment was very tasteful.
There were lots of tables for two in all restaurants

Slightly off topic
I was "hooked" by an offer from Regent that gave a 3 category cabin up grade and 3 day pre or post cruise hotel stay.
I selected the pre-cruise option and told my TA. When I received my confirmation documents I found I had not received the cabin upgrade. When told of this my TA acquired this for me.
I told this to a friend who used to be an executive of a cruise company. His comment was that "if you advertise an incentive it is normal practice to give this only if the client requests it"

I'm a first time sailor with Seabourn and I'm also wondering what we are going to do on our debarkation day at Barbados. Flight to the UK with BA doesn't leave until 17.10 hours and don't know what we can do with our luggage if we find something to occupy ourselves with for the day. I'd be grateful for any advice.
We are also on the BA flight ( on 3rd March). Last time we hired a cab to take us on an Island tour, visited Hunte's Garden and another botanical garden then had lunch on the East Coast before being dropped off at the airport and intend to do something similar next year.

We visited Diamond Botanical Gardens in St Lucia and Hunte's Garden in Barbados in 2014 and look forward to seeing them again next February.
Sunprince recommends the Botanical Garden of Nevis and online research has made us interested in going to Jardin Botanique of Deshaies in Guadeloupe ( although it is 50klm from Basse-Terre ) and Balata Botanical Garden in Martinique.
Sunprince - thanks very much for the information about Nevis which will be very useful.Mr Cheeky and 1901Phil - I have started a Roll Call for our 17 February Barbados round trip.
Anyone else joining us?
-
We have been sent the same itinerary as Mr Cheeky.
As we were on a very similar 14 day cruise in 2014 we are happy with the changed routing as we prefer a day in Barbados to one in St Maarten
-
I am able to see the itinerary changes for the Oct sailing but nothing about the Feb 3rd sailing. Still planning on going but curious about final destinations...
We are booked on the 17 Feb cruise and today had a revised itinerary forwarded from Seabourn by our TA.
Now have 2 x Barbados/Barbados 7 day cruises.
As we were on a similar 14 day Barbados/St Maarten/Barbados cruise in December 2014 we are not too disappointed.

We cruised last September from Vancouver to Clarkston. Had a great trip.
The included jump on jump off bus service was run very efficiently. We were given maps of each town with bus stops and points of interest stated. The optional excursions were good value.
Each port had enough of interest for the time spent but we are glad we were only there for a day.

Would be interested to know if you did any interesting excursions in Santorini?
We enjoyed a wine tour with http://www.Santoriniwinetour.com.
Visited 3 wineries tasting 5 wines at each. Very informative guide/driver in a comfortable air conditioned Mercedes mini coach.
Good value at 75euros pp

We would like to know how our many friends we made on board were affected.
We arrived home at 1.00am on the 8th so were only 9 hours later than expected

We disembarked in Rome yesterday having been in cabin 6041.
It is small but we found it had adequate storage space.
This cabin is described as restricted view and it certainly lived up to the description as it is behind one of the lifeboats.
As we were at anchor in most ports our view was occasionally not restricted at all as "our" lifeboat was used as a tender. The bathroom was very small and I joked that I had to enter the cabin to towel my back. The room was obviously much darker when the lifeboat was in position but the price was compensation for this minor drawback. I am not sure I would select this cabin if there lots of sea days but the Quest has numerous areas to relax in.

I'm hopping on here to ask if anyone has ever disembarked prior to the end of the cruise (and not because they were disgruntled!) We are considering leaving our cruise a day early in Quepos, where transportation to the southern part of Cost Rica will be easier for us rather than transiting overnight, just to disembark further north. I'm fairly sure there must be some who have done this at some point, (maybe in Europe) just wondering how far in advance you needed to notify the ahip.
We cruised on Seabourn last year. Our cruise finished with 2 nights in Venice. We booked this cruise very late so found we could not get a morning flight out of Venice. Therefore left the ship the day we arrived in Venice. Had a splendid day. After breakfast walked to the Peggy Guggenhiem museum. Returned for lunch, packed, had afternoon tea then disembarked at 18.30. Caught late flight to LGW and were home by 23.30.
Just informed Seabourn we would be doing this two days before arriving in Venice

My mistake we are disembarking on May 7th
Have checked our flight which departs FCO at 12.45. I assume you also are departing from there and not the other Rome airport.
I have booked with Romecabs. Before making the booking I searched Tripadvisor and they were recommended in a Dec14 post. Their web page was also informative, suggest you check.
Price is 130 euros for 2 people and 150 euros for 4 people. They recommend departure from Civitavecchia at least 3 hours prior to flight departure
-
My wife and I are also disembarking at Civitavecchia on 11th May. We have a 1230 flight from Rome and have booked a cab to collect us from the cruise terminal at 09.15. Maybe we could obtain a larger vehicle to take you as well
Regent “We do not provide this service.”

I have had a mobility problem for the past few years.
When sailing on Regent I have received great service when boarding being wheeled from the terminal building to the ship. On my last cruise I requested similar help on departure to go from the gangway to where my luggage had been placed. No assistance was given
