I'd like to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to read, comment and post here over the past 7 weeks. You made it so much fun for me to do. Valerie has been super with her suggestions and friendship as have all of you who shared your experiences. Back to my real world of taxes, car insurance but best of all 3 big girls and 3 little boys who are a gift.

    The first 15 seconds of

says it all but the whole track makes me smile and takes me back to simpler times....

Oh and I was singing along.....

    Hi Linda,

I love your blog, could not see it on board because of the rubbish wifi but have caught up with it now. We arrived back on the 24th and have just about got over the jet lag now. I did the Uluru trip with three children in 1992 and stayed at the Sails in the Desert, your photos bring back so many memories. We were with a small group, just 10 in a little bus with a trailer for the luggage, Kakadu tours. We did climb the rock (you did in those days) but the hand rails were not there then, just chains against the rock to pull yourself up with. I hope you are adjusting to being home, the ship seems such a long time ago! Heather

  2. The day before I was due to fly out I received an email from my TA with an attached letter from Celebrity with regards to the 2nd leg of this B2B:

We are writing to you today to provide some important information for this mutual guests forthcoming cruise on board Celebrity Solstice departing 3rd March 2016.

Due to the latest BVK regulations from the Indonesian Government, it has been advised that all UK visitors arriving into Bali on a cruise ship, through the port of Benoa, will be required to purchase a VOA (Visit on Arrival Visa), irrespective of whether guests are disembarking the ship or not.

The cost is $35.00 per person and will be automatically applied to the guests Sea Pass Account on board. Should guests already have a passport with the appropriate Visa or, due to nationality, not require one, then this fee will be waived.

Further details can be found on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Website through the following link.

Just love the bit where I’d get charged whether I go ashore or not. None of the other Brits on the roll call had been made aware of this.

    Hi Linda,

We have just arrived in Auckland 11th Feb and thinking of you on your mega flight. I hope you have as good an experience as we have had on Cathay Pacific, our first time with them and very impressed. It is overcast here but dry and humid. Our driver said rain next Tuesday but hopefully we will be dry wherever we are then 😊

    See you on board. Heather
