Frank, we fell in love with PD and will be happy to go back again.  We did the western side with the twin lakes and saw a little, wishing NCL had given our stop more time - and to better explore.  Looking ahead, DW wants to do east including the hot spring - probably going to contact the excellent guide we had last month & see what he propose once we pin down our schedule & options for 2024.  BTW, I like your 2024 schedule ... Iceland on our short list.  Regards - Henry

Thank you! It will be our first time and we are looking forward to it!

I'm booked in cabin 10700 on joy for January 15th and I've been excited as it's a huge ov cabin. I hope to not have similar issues.

Hi! I'm originally from the Island too! We are booked for the Joy this summer in 10700. How was that cabin? Did you take any pictures or video. CC won't let me message you directly so sorry to hijack this thread.

We have eaten steak at some very fancy steak houses and my wife is from TX (self-appointed steak expert). The steaks at Cagneys are some of the best we've had anywhere! Especially for the price. Don't miss it!

  4. We dock in Honolulu at 8 am and plan to do Pearl Harbor and we also have the "Pearl Harbor Passport". We also have tickets for 5:30 Luau at Hale Koa. Any suggestions on what time we should get tickets for the Arizona? We will have a lot to see and do before the luau. Just not sure about the timing of the Arizona.

I just want to make sure that you have a DoD ID before you show up at the Hale Koa and get disappointed that they won't let you in.

  5. Of course, a real suite is nicer. And great if the price is right. BUT - who knows what price you will end up at. And of course, there are a very limited amount of cabins available to even assign to winners.

Folks often post asking if a suite or haven is worth it. I have to chuckle when so many post - YES IT IS WORTH IT. Apparently what people say here and what people book do not match up. People mostly actually BOOK lower category cabins. Just an observation.

Just keep in mind that a mini-suite is not the same as a suite. It basically a slightly bigger room with a bath tub. No suite perks are included.

  6. Seriously looking to book our first cruise for our family of 5 and it looks like cabins are for families of 4 or less?

As you can see I don't post often but have been reading more as I do believe that our family would love to cruise.

My apologies if this has been asked/answered a million times.

    Thank

    Michelle,

We are a family of five also. Our TA had to manually add our youngest to the room for us. We got a family ocean view which holds six.

  7. This next November will be our first cruise during Thanksgiving. And while we realize Thanksgiving (at least when we celebrate it) is an American holiday, does NCL usually have a "Thanksgiving" dinner? I hope so as it would be disappointing for us not have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

We were on the Jade last Thanksgiving and will be again this year with you. The buffet was the way to go rather than the MDR. Everything we had was very good.
