I will be sailing to Ponta Delgada soon and was wondering if anyone had an opinion on whether we should do an Eastern or Western tour. Thanks!

I'm booked in cabin 10700 on joy for January 15th and I've been excited as it's a huge ov cabin. I hope to not have similar issues.
Hi! I'm originally from the Island too! We are booked for the Joy this summer in 10700. How was that cabin? Did you take any pictures or video. CC won't let me message you directly so sorry to hijack this thread.

How is the steak at the met compared to Cagney
Sent from my iPhone using Forums
We have eaten steak at some very fancy steak houses and my wife is from TX (self-appointed steak expert). The steaks at Cagneys are some of the best we've had anywhere! Especially for the price. Don't miss it!

We dock in Honolulu at 8 am and plan to do Pearl Harbor and we also have the "Pearl Harbor Passport". We also have tickets for 5:30 Luau at Hale Koa. Any suggestions on what time we should get tickets for the Arizona? We will have a lot to see and do before the luau. Just not sure about the timing of the Arizona.

I just want to make sure that you have a DoD ID before you show up at the Hale Koa and get disappointed that they won't let you in.

Of course, a real suite is nicer. And great if the price is right. BUT - who knows what price you will end up at. And of course, there are a very limited amount of cabins available to even assign to winners.
Folks often post asking if a suite or haven is worth it. I have to chuckle when so many post - YES IT IS WORTH IT. Apparently what people say here and what people book do not match up. People mostly actually BOOK lower category cabins. Just an observation.
Just keep in mind that a mini-suite is not the same as a suite. It basically a slightly bigger room with a bath tub. No suite perks are included.

May 20th – Embarkation
We sat down to wait and then Bruno, our concierge, came over with our key cards and information about our dinner reservations (made previously) and suite privileges such as breakfast and lunch in Moderno. The room had a table with coffee and juices and a few snacks.
.
We loved Bruno!

Seriously looking to book our first cruise for our family of 5 and it looks like cabins are for families of 4 or less?
As you can see I don't post often but have been reading more as I do believe that our family would love to cruise.
My apologies if this has been asked/answered a million times.
Thank

Michelle,
We are a family of five also. Our TA had to manually add our youngest to the room for us. We got a family ocean view which holds six.

We booked a tour where we went to a Turkish family's home for dinner and it was a fantastic experience!

This next November will be our first cruise during Thanksgiving. And while we realize Thanksgiving (at least when we celebrate it) is an American holiday, does NCL usually have a "Thanksgiving" dinner? I hope so as it would be disappointing for us not have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
We were on the Jade last Thanksgiving and will be again this year with you. The buffet was the way to go rather than the MDR. Everything we had was very good.

You really don't need a private tour to see Monte Carlo. It is perfectly doable independently and is a really small area.
Have a look at the excellent Tomsportguides below....an excellent resource for the independent traveller.
How have I never heard of this guy before? Thank you for a great link.

Thanks for the review. I am booked on the Western Med Jade cruise next November. We sailed the Eastern Med leg on 27 Nov 13. If you have any questions about it, just let me know.

Check out the roll call for the 27 Nov Jade cruise. It has the same itinerary and there's lots of good info.

I don't know who you are but I think we were separated at birth. I also, take pictures of food and like to describe everything I eat in addition to the "normal" things that others post about their trips! Thanks for the info.
