  1. I have never been on the Dream but sailed the Legend and her sister ship the Miricale. We prefer the smaller ship as we have sailed on the the liberty and splendor. I'm not opposed to the larger ships and would like to try one of the new ships one day. We are balcony cabin lovers so I would defiantly have to choose the legend just for the OV opposed to the inside.

Which ever you choose your going to have a awesome trip.

As other posters have said that the time of year your sailing is spring break and the ship will be more crowded. So the legend probably holds close to a 1000 less people then the dream.

We sailed the Splendor last year at spring break and will never do make that mistake again!!! It was so crowded and unfortunalty we discovered many parents don't find the need to watch their children on a cruise ship and found that to be the biggest issue on the trip.

  2. I have eaten at the steakhouse on 2 of our cruises and say $60 per couple is well worth it. I love steak houses and have been to very high end restaurants spending $200 per couple and have been very satisfied with the meal on the ship steakhouse. My husband who can eat, never finishes his meal. If you have the extra $60 in your budget I would so it. We are not big liquor drinkers so typically we spend $80 giving the wait staff a $20 tip.

  3. As animal lovers, you need to realize the Turtle Farm is raising turtles for food...to eat! Just a "heads up"!

They do not raise them to eat them!!! I have been there twice and they have turtles there that are over 60 years old!!! They are a sanctuary/rescue for this endangered species. They return many of the them to the sea and HUMAN garbage in the ocean kills them.

As for the OP question my husband and I love it there. It's a very nice day. We visit/feed the turtles, go in the lagoon for a snorkel and sit by the pool for a bit before heading back to boat.

  4. We are flying into the Fort Lauderdale airport the Saturday before our cruise. We plan on staying in a Ft. Laud hotel as well. Any tips for getting to the Miami port the next morning? I'd like to be able to arrive at the port around 11:00.

We rented a car at FLL and drove to Miami the night before and stayed at the best western premier. The rental was $35 through Thrifty and they offer a shuttle from MIA to POM when you drop the car off the next morning. We were a party of 4 and it was much cheaper then getting a car service or using cruise ground transportation. When we arrived back at POM we rented the car again and drove back to FLL. It worked out great. We were able to go to Walmart and get water and sodas to bring on the ship since we had the car.
