  1. We were boarding group #8 on the March 19th sailiing of the Getaway...I prayed and prayed and prayed that we could get passes and we did! All the Clamshells were sold out. We enjoyed the bar day of boarding and then the sea day that followed.

We were off the ship every ]port day and did not use the Vibe area and on the last sea day when were were back there only a handful of guests were in vibe, no one was in the clamshells. It was pretty quiet.

No idea why but we LOVED IT!!!!

They treat you very, very well in Vibe. First Class all the way.

Where exactly do you go when boarding to get Vibe passes?

  2. I had the Vibe for the March 5th sailing on the Breakaway. It was $329 for the clam shell with on food/drink credit! It was $99 for a week pass. We were on the Breakaway in November and they were still doing the food/drink credit for the clam shell.

So does the cost for the clamshell include the admission cost? Or is it the $329 + 99?

  3. You should not need to, here is the fine print, it's a pretty specific " special" $25 Reduced Deposit Offer is applicable to new bookings made January 12 – 17, 2017, for cruises departing April 18, 2017 – April 29, 2018. Reduced deposit excludes group bookings, suites, Celebrity Explorations, Alaska Cruisetours and Galapagos sailings. Reduced deposit must be paid by deposit payment required due date. Offer is applicable to U.S. and Canada only. To redeem at celebritycruises.com, proceed to the payment page, select "Other" in the deposit field and enter the deposit amount. Standard full deposit penalty is applied if booking is cancelled within final payment period; see Celebrityâs cancellation policy for details.

  4. What specifically don't you understand? In my mind, the most important thing Travel Insurance covers is Medical treatment, extraction and repatriation. Many folks think canceled trip coverage is most critical, but I advise my clients in medical coverage being critical. Remember even if you have insurance, in most cases, you will need to pay upfront for whatever you need and then insurance reimburses you.

  5. It depends on what kind of credit it is, is it considered refundable? Normally an OBC that small gets eaten up by the Auto Gratuity unless of course, they are already paid or you remove them.

  6. As with all innovations that we premiere on our ships, they are put through extensive testing to ensure that are unquestionably safe and this certainly is the case for both North Star and RipCord by iFLY. At this time, North Star accommodates 13 guests, plus there will be room to accommodate a wheelchair passenger as well, for a total of 14 guests, and one Operator.

North Star will be complimentary and available for guests at sea, as well as in port.

Premium packages also will be available for advance purchase and booking.

  7. Wheelchair

Wheelchair Access. Holland America and Carnival have three beach wheelchairs available for use; they are located at the First Aid Station, in the Welcome Center plaza. The beach wheelchairs, equipped with balloon tires made for use on the sand, are free to borrow, and are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Please be aware that the chairs are in different states of repair.

Half Moon Cay features a variety of excursions; however, none are wheelchair accessible.

There is one cabana on the island, the Taupe cabana, which is listed as wheelchair accessible. To book the Taupe cabana, guests must sign up (as an excursion) well in advance of the cruise to reserve it. Please note that Holland America does not give guests with disabilities priority to reserve the cabana.

The Bahamian Church is not wheelchair accessible, as there are a number of stairs which prohibit access.

The Rum Runners Bar, located in the Welcome Center, is wheelchair accessible. A ramp can be found on the right side of the bar. If your wheelchair doesn't elevate, there are tables underneath the adjacent patio cover where you can sit and enjoy a drink.

All of the restrooms are wheelchair accessible; however, they do not accommodate companions.

  8. I do, here is the copy of my TripAdvisor review. Wasabi Sailing gave us a great day out on the water when we visited via Cruise ship. I found them thru their ratings on TripAdvisor and I was not disappointed. They knew just were to go to find the turtles my daughter wanted to see so badly, she found and swam with the turtles. I chose to stay floating near the boat instead and was happy to find Capt Eric had all sorts of supplies from snorkeling stuff, to seats to our much loved bean bag seats. Our only regret was that we didn't have a whole day to spend with Wasabi Sailing!

  9. As a travel agent, I am able to do it easily online but as a consumer (one who didn't use a TA). I believe with the updated consumer site, you must call or you could try emailing the maitre 'd for that ship if you don't want to call. You can also just go see the dining room staff on embarkation day during their "office hours". Just remember the Maitre'd's are not required to reply or acknowledge your email. PRmaitred@carnival.com, just substitute your ships' two letter abbreviation for PR in the address listed above.
