I have a digital reader but nothing beats having a physical book to read on a cruise - too much water around, and I am so clumsy. I have borrowed from the library when I have run through all of the books I brought with me, and I do leave my completed books in the library. But I have not seen a book exchange.

I was just checking my booking for the Pride August 5th sailing, and it is now available again after showing as sold out for quite a while. I think it may be popular on the Pride because of the notoriously later-than-usual first arrival appointments at the port.

I was on the fence about whether to buy the Pixels Plus for August; glad the decision was made for me, because I was having a little agita, lol.

I don´t mind the ¨gaudy¨ decor on the Farcus ships, and I did think the atrium of the Vista looked rather sterile and mall-like, but I thought the Vista´s dining room was beautiful.

I got a Z-pack last month at the pharmacy inside the port area and no prescription was needed. I felt like I had an ear infection coming so I picked it up. It may have been more expensive than at other places, but no mention of a prescription. I did, in fact, have an ear infection, but I wound up being too chicken to take the meds I bought in Mexico, just in case it wasn´t actually a bacterial infection, and went to urgent care when I got back home. Where, obviously, I was prescribed a Z-pack.
I priced the asthma inhalers, cheaper for me than at home with my copayment, but I didn´t need any. Kicking myself for not checking the price of the voltaren gel, which I get for tendinitis in my foot.

The Hub app would always tell us ship's time, even when we were in port.

My sister and I are sharing a cabin on the Sunshine in a few weeks..and wanted to buy "Cheers", we each wanted to pay for ourselves on a credit card. We couldn't figure out how to do this online, I was just going to give in and pay for it all on my card then have her owe me,,,, but decided to call Carnival and ask if there was a way and how to go about it. There is no way online and she processed it for us separately. Carnival was very helpful. Both packages had to be purchased at the same time.
This was going to be my identical post, except Vista and this week.
I called in with both of our card numbers, expiration dates, and billing zip codes, and then they gave me an order confirmation number over the phone and sent me a confirmation email. I prefer to do everything online, but calling in was quick and easy.

We were in 4122 this past August and I honestly cannot remember what type of TV we had. I do know that it was quiet, with very little noise from above, below, or, mercifully, the neighbors.

I have used them twice, both times for the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau. Perfect, no complaints at all. The second time, our itinerary was changed due to a hurricane that canceled our stop in Grand Turk; I emailed them before boarding to try to change the date and I had a response with a confirmation for the new date by the time we got to our room. I would book an excursion with them again without hesitation.

Ours went up a couple of hundred dollars, but I will keep checking. We are past final payment and we sail on April 16th.

Cucumber Sunrise and Perfect Storm from Alchemy. Weird thing is that I don´t even like cucumbers.
Hennesy XO with Coke Zero.
Caribbean Colada at Red Frog.
Regular old Tito´s Vodka and cranberry juice at the sports bar... it´s double play so you get two shots.
Mango Margarita at Blue Iguana.

Anything from Alchemy.
Caribbean Colada if I want something frozen.
Hennessy XO with a splash of Coke Zero.

We booked in early September for the April 16, 2017 sailing on the 6-day Western Caribbean route. 2 people, VIFP Gold, deluxe oceanview room... $644 pp base fare, $763.52 with taxes and port fees, not including gratuity or travel insurance. We also got $50 OBC.
I can only sail during winter and spring breaks, and a couple of weeks in the summer, because I am a school administrator. Otherwise I would have gone with a less expensive rate on another date.

It seems like a lot because it is a lot; very port-intensive, but it's an amazing itinerary that I would do again in a heartbeat. Just pace yourself and take full advantage of that sea day!

Assigned dining is on the lower level, anytime dining upstairs.
Enjoy! Pride is an awesome ship.

Thanks a million for this! We're doing this itinerary on July 31st... VERY helpful. I appreciate you taking the time.

Perfect Storm from Alchemy is maybe my favorite drink ever, on or off a ship.

Brown815--is that your free water or what you purchased? I've mostly seen 6 packs of smaller bottles people bought.
My free "Welcome Back" water is in the background, but I took a smaller bottle from our sealed 12 pack and took pictures of that.

We LOVE the British Colonial Hilton. Have done their day pass two times and would definitely not hesitate to do it again. Really good food and drinks as well. Thanks for the pics to remind me of our great times there.

I'm allergic to the propellants in the aerosol sunscreen so I had to go back to the lotion, which I actually like much better now that I've switched back.
