I spoke with royal caribbean today. They said i would have to cancel my existing booking and rebook at todays prices $1300 more than when i booked the cabin.

Yeah i thought the same but someone said if final payment has been made you pay the price you booked. But if you pay before the final payment the person your adding pays the price it is on that day.

Whats the best way to add someone to an existing booking. I booked solo but now i have someone who wants to join me. Should i add them before final payment or after? I have heard different stories of the best way to go.

That's the one ! Great, wasn't it ? We thought of going on the one leaving 7th Dec this year which also goes to Champagne Bay on Rhapsody I think - but the prices ! Couldn't justify it... See you went up the Qld coast on a cruise - was that good ? Hubby isn't too adventurous ( yet LOL ) so we're staying close to home for the moment...will try emailing a few agencies for a quote and do the price/service comparison you suggested - thanks !

I personally prefer to book online because I like being in control of my booking although sometimes you get certain perks from travel agents. Best thing is do your research before going to a travel agent and see what price and perks they give. Ive heard of some agent giving onboard credit. Best time to book a RCCL cruise is when dates are released or if your game last minute.

The first step I took was booking the cruise. Im doing by first 2 solo cruises at the end of the year on quantum and allure. Although ive cruised before I did one cruise with my parents and grandma so we all had different interests so pretty much did our own thing. Everyone is friendly and I think the key is to just talk to everybody. Do what ever tours interest you it will be in a group and people always talk to each other.

I think my dad seen pictures of a room with a porthole I cant find any pictures of deck 1 rooms anywhere. If anyone has a link or some picks to share it would be greatly appreciated.

My parents got upgraded from level 4 obstructed to level 1 ocean view. Does anyone think it is an upgrade getting a porthole that you have to stand on your bed to look out of instead of a big window that looks at a life boat.

Their is another thread which shows the ultimate package and from what I can understand can be booked online from mid December. It also says in the q&a that aus will get upto $12 cocktails
