  1. My parents had a balcony cabin over the casino last year on the Splendor, there was quite a bit of noise, mostly from the music acts that were playing in the casino each night. My mom wore earplugs and my Dad can sleep through anything, so wasn't to much of an issue. However they did say it was quite loud late into the night.

  2. I am booked on the now Splendor cruise 6/12/16 and am getting married on there as well. So of course 2 days after I booked the cruise and the wedding--we get an email that the ship changed. My TA said they were planning some 2.0 upgrades and I found one site that has the Splendor listed to dry dock March 2016 but no specifics about upgrades....guess we shall see!!!

Nice to see someone else in the same boat as me! I am getting married on the May 7th 2016 sailing, took a while to let go of the fact that it wouldn't be the breeze, but I am starting to accept it now :)

  3. Both the Valor and the Magic are heading into drydock before our cruise. So it's just a matter of what upgrades they get. I think either will be nicer than the Splendor for us. I just hope the Valor gets all the upgrades. Itinerary wise - since DH poo pooed Western it is either our original itinerary of San Juan, Grand Turk, St Maarten and St. Kitts for the Valor 8 day or San Juan, Grand Turk, St Thomas and Amber Cove on Magic on the 7 day. They tell be our room is not available on the Magic though which is strange.

I was told by my wedding coordinator with Carnival that the Splendor is scheduled for dry dock next March, I hope this is true because we were to get Married on the Breeze and for many reasons can not switch to a different ship and are now stuck with the splendor.

  4. Me too, no bridesmaids here, no drama! I think I will look into silk flowers as well.

I have started to design my invitations, if anyone is looking and (I know i looked forever) need something, or some ideas, go to https://weddingpassports.com/ . All you do is buy the template and then design it how you want, upload it back if you want them to print it or go and get it printed your self.

I need to go and look at dresses!

I just read about the changing of ports for Carnival Breeze and Magic, and it has me kind of worried. I just sent an email to carnival to ask. I am getting married April of 2016 on the Magic out of Galveston (or I am supposed to be) but its moving to Port Canaveral in April 2016, but the Breeze will not be in Galveston until May 2016. Hopefully this is a Typo and I will have a ship to get married on! LOL

Hope this works out for you! I was booked on the Breeze out of Miami, now I'm booked on the same Itinerary but it will be on the Splendor! So I spent a day crying about it, did research, decided not to switch ships and suck it up. The splendor is getting the 2.0 upgrades in March, or so they say. Fingers crossed nothing else happens.

  5. We have decided to stay on the Splendor, with so many things already planned for our Wedding, it just makes more sense to us. I called to confirm that our Wedding package was switched and my Carnival Wedding coordinator told me that the Splendor will be dry docked in March 2016 and getting some 2.0 upgrades, hopefully this is true!

Headed to visit with my Travel agent later today to figure out cabin assignments, I don't want to downgrade from a deluxe ocean view room to a regular one, hoping they can at least upgrade us to a spa room or a balcony for the same cost!

Is anyone else actually planning to stick it out with the Splendor, I feel like I am the only one lol.

  6. I am in tears over this...I had my wedding cruise booked on the Breeze for May 7th, 2016. It was perfect! I had a deluxe ocean view room, this was so important to me as our two young children are sailing with us and we could use the extra space for not only my wedding dress but all our and the kids stuff. The breeze was perfect, I do not like the look of the splendor at all, we are getting married on embarkation day and none of the areas of the splendor look good enough for me to use for my ceremony...it's just not my cup of tea. Plus, I have already put down a deposit for my hair and make up and have tons of family and friends booked! I knew this was a possibly, things happen, but I took comfort knowing okay, the BreeZe is not relocating till December, thinking that would mean less of a chance for something to happen. Now a week before we cruise they decided move the ship? Ugh, and they are trying to sell me a regular ocean view room for the same price! I'm stuck...we could change the date of our wedding to the 8th and do the breeze in Texas...but then we are not getting the itinerary we like, I'm going to have to settle no matter what and in my opinion, a bride should not have to settle on her big day...please advice would help so much!!! What do I do?

  7. Yeah, I was kinda disappointed they won't even let you just bring a few songs to play at the reception so that we could do the first dance, father daughter/mother son. You have to pay the 275 even if you just want to play a few songs. But hey, it's still way cheaper then what we were previously looking at if we were to have our wedding here at home.

  8. Question here, my fiancé and I will be getting married on the Breeze next May. It's an 8 day southern Caribbean itinerary. We will be bringing both our kids with us on the trip and although we will have tons of family to help us with them, we want to put our daughter who will be 4.5 in camp carnival, my son will only be 16 months so still to small. I am worried that we will miss registration as we will be getting married on embarkation day. Will we be able to bring her and register her the next day?
