In the past we've always shopped for cruises by going to different online TAs which invariably always had the same fares but different levels of perks. We also used one of the "compete" sites that gets you bids from different online TA's. They also all had the same fares but different perks. Some were unable to get the cabin class we wanted. Our last 2 cruises, we used a local TA here in South Florida referred to us by one of his relatives, who has beaten every deal out there. We get a better fare and all of the perks. For example, on a recent cruise, the price on the cruise line site was +/-4800 with 4 perks. We paid 3100 with 4 perks at higher levels. IE premium vs classic beverage, 150 addl OBC. The TA charged our card through the cruise line and we were able to confirm our reservation number within 30 minutes. For some reason we weren't confident in using a local storefront TA - that's all changed. BY the way - never met the TA face to face - all by phone and email.

Is this an NCL excursion? Or did you book on your own? Also, how long was it?
Thanks!
Fury is an independent excursion, the captain is the owner. Book thru their website. Pay balance in cash onboard. I believe it's about 4 hours total.
IMPORTANT NOTE: ST THOMAS IS IN THE ATLANTIC TIME ZONE. IT'S AN HOUR AHEAD OF US EASTERN TIME ZONE. KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN MAKING PLANS, ESPECIALLY RELATED TO SHIP TIME.

We were on the Allure last month. Pleased to report that they now use Sacramento Blood Mary mix. Next time we're bringing our own olives, can't stand those RCCL ones.

Another vote for Galleria. Sawgrass to me is like a third world country. Too many touristas.

The Dania location of Quarterdeck Restaurant
300 North Beach Road – Dania Beach, FL 33004
(954) 929-1400
We're locals & were there recently. I had no idea how cool it looked seeing a parade of cruise ships leave the port from that spot.

We're on your cruise next week. Did Fury last time in St Thomas. I can tell you it was a great time. Not a crowd like on cruise line excursion. Capt Mike is very personable, had a very nice first mate. Check it out on TripAdvisor. Very highly rated and loads of pictures. Highly recommended. Here's hoping we have a great cruise.

After a harrowing 20 minute drive from home, parking the car, standing in line to get our sea passes, our vacation truly begins as we head up the gangway, and stop at the first bar for a cocktail.

We did the Pearl out of Seattle. You should have balcony on this trip. National Park Service rangers come aboard at Glacier Bay and narrate. They do it in the Spinnaker but it's broadcast throughout the ship. The ship stops and pivots 360 degrees so both sides get the great views.

Just rebooked the above for 10 bucks less. Closer to cruise. Everyone's got a friggin algorithm.

Just a note- all hotel chains will match any price you find on other booking sites. After getting screwed by one of the hotels dot com types, I'll never do that again. Same thing with car rentals. The only thing I do thru outside agencies is book cruises. At least they sweeten their offers.

Park n Go Jan 15-22 2017. Great shuttles, excellent security. Unlike the hotels, this facility operates 24/7 as it services the airport too. FYI there are other parking companies that offer lower rates, but, take a look at a Google satellite view. Most of them are in deserted industrial areas. Park n Go and Park n Fly are both in the same general location and either is a good choice. We use PnG because they seem to run their shuttles more often. We usually do self disembark and a shuttle is outside waiting.

We did this in 2015 and we're still talking about it-- https://www.alaskaexcursions.com/glacier-safari-2/
It was an amazing once in a lifetime experience. Includes a boat ride, canoeing, hiking & being right at the face of an amazing glacier.
