ahhhh perhaps it is time for a few to take a "chill pill" 😃
many of us take a cruise to relax or (a little R & R as many say)......
so being a cruise related thread on CC that so many enjoy, do not make the seas turbulent take a deep breath (of course with no mask) and another deep breath and continue the CC voyage upon calm seas....😀
Cheers to All......🍷🍸🍹🍺🍻🥂🥃🥤

figured nearing retirement years and the cruise must go on, we usually cruised 4-5 times a year and had planned to up that to monthly sailings so if RCL and other lines are not sailing we will be
inked a deal on a 72' Viking SF "hole in the water" has it all from an OS to GS to 2 JS's and lower inside cabins, sky lounge to alfresco mezzanine cockpit seating all with no wait to be seated due to chair hogs. Ashtrays aplenty, only lacks Club Royale but casinos galore at many of the ports we will be hailing. Thirsty diesels will pass any RCL ship afloat, a future Panama Canal cruise with a final destination of Costs Rica (Los Suenos) is being planned for 2021-22.
the motto we will have aboard is "Saltwater Rusts ~ Alcohol Preserves"...cheers

You don't care that people find it hard to read your post? No one would know the reason for the color. It is also hard to read posts entirely in script, or all caps, and most people understand that a msg like the one you are dismissing is intended to help you. Being a patriot should not interfere with your willingness to graciously accept suggestions meant in good faith.
please do not read my posts if you dislike the script or few capitals in the messages i post, i now understand why so many do not comment or many have left CC due to the few that are ready to criticize the color or subject matter.
i graciously accept suggestions when it pertains to a matter of importance, not my color choice or script

my 3/31/18 - 3/31/19 PRIME awarded UNREDEEMED cruise expires march 31/2020
did b2b in Nov 2019 and achieved my 3/31/19 - 3/31/20 PRIME status with UNREDEEMED awarded cruise expiring 3/31/21
had planned on 1 more cruise before the 3/31/20 cycle ended to achieve Signature as i only needed 2200 points, since i average 7000 points per week sailing wonder what Crown Royale will offer to keep me gambling when ships finally do sail....🤔
Figure more important and pressing issues........only time will tell as Royal and all cruise lines have so many headaches that will result in both favorable and unfavorable results for us the loyal cruiser.....🤔

In the past have received them on Grandeur, both non-alcohol & alcohol frozen drinks, at the VCL bar and other bars with blenders, think $$$ tips may have been a factor 👍
-
we have sailed in numerous suites aboard Grandeur including GS 8508 with no disturbances overall our experiences we find the starboard forward suites much quieter than port forward suites.
this past Thanksgiving on our B2B we had port forward suites GS 8012 & OS 8004 and both were noisier than what we had experienced in the past.
enjoy your sailing aboard aboard GOS 👍

just off Grandeur on a b2b two weeks ago, smoking areas:
Deck 9 pool deck PORTSIDE
Deck 5 PORTSIDE
Casino (smoking areas marked with signage)
Enjoy your cruise aboard the Grandeur 👍

great thanks for the replies....👍
Bob since my questions are answered you can close this thread if you want.

Anyone currently on GOS
Who is current Hotel Director ?
Who is Casino Mgr. and Casino Host ?

trying to find out if John Denton is still HD (Hotel Director) on Grandeur or has he rotated to another ship ?
am hoping he will be aboard for our upcoming B2B embarking 11/16/2019.
Also anyone know who Casino Host and Casino Mgr. are on our upcoming B2B sailings ?
thanks in advance for any replies....

at the Nassau Colonial Hilton 2 years ago, our ship GOS along with 4 other ships, very crowded and LOUD, service subpar and very slow, they no doubt were overbooked, no refund was available since we (2) checked-in and had 2 beers each according to the staff, never got our food so we went back to ship and enjoyed a nice lunch in the WJ
will say prior visits were great
positive = was able to get full refund from AX

Andrew as you have said numerous times in this thread........"ONLY TIME WILL TELL"......no truer words can be said, 👍
So many behind-the-scene logistical scenarios playing out (hopefully providing positive outcomes for all) 😟
Assumptions and speculations by the media and even a few here on CC truly fail to convey the reality of the catastrophy that has already taken place in the Bahamas and leaving the many many many still in harms way 😕
Prayers for all whether asea or ashore and not let us forget the thousands of first reponders also at risk
God Bless Dorian's victims and their families
Amen 🙏

yes 3-4 years ago, friends crashed a drone and in their search for the downed drone, on the northwest side of the Cay, they encountered a peacock, they even produced a pic as proof when we did not believe their story

a FYI for all regarding Casino Royale....who never receive Casino Royale invites and Casino Royale special offers they are ELIGIBLE FOR via email or snail mail.
we are US based going on 5 years in suites with RCL we average 4-5 cruises a year and currently D+ on our way to Pinnacle (i only play table games - Blackjack & Roulette...no slots)
since the initiation of the new RCL casino program and awarded their PRIME tier 1st year despite having nearly 32K points, Casino Royale had me at 23K points, so no Signature Tier despite me questioning their points total 🙄
(yes we received the POST casino free cruise certificates when disembarking every cruise)
i nor my fiancé also a Casino Royale Prime tier member (she plays both slots and table games) have never received ANY Casino Royale offers, no Golf Tourneys, Tournament Invites or even Summer Sizzles via email or snail mail
when the CasinoRoyaleOffers.com site appeared we were FINALLY able to see our free annual Prime cruise, and all cruise certificates (Post Cruise) we had received...NO other offers or invites
over the years and many phone calls with Casino Royale no one on their end could figure why we did not receive any offers from them.
so just Saturday last week i had a 3-way call with my TA & Club Royale Supervisor and questioned the never receiving any offers (such as the many offers others post here on this and other CC threads)
<BTW my TA deals with only Casino booked cruises (any cruise line)>
during the call i was told by the supervisor that our Casino Royale accounts were "CODED NOT TO RECEIVE ANY EMAIL OFFERS"....hmmmmmm😳
well never did i ask for our accounts to be that way and we wanted to receive all offers or we would sail another cruise line.....so 5 days later i received the Summer Sizzles offers via snail email and many offers and invites via the ClubRoyaleOffers.com site
well guess RCL listened and wants our business....booked B2B (7 dayers in a GS) only port fees and taxes, and we both still have our free annual cruises remaining to use before 3/31/2020 and other non-expired certificates we have earned.
So for the many Casino Royale players from the (US - Canada - Europe...etc)
(IF YOU USE A TA) make sure that you let them both (TA & Royal Casino) you want to see ALL offers & discounts you are entitled via email or snail mail and are (NOT CODED only TA) as we were.
To All.......Good Luck in the casino.....when in doubt about the casino program ASK your TA/Casino Royale both together as i did via a 3-way call i requested my TA to do. and hopefully you will get the answers you've been seeking and some great cruise deals....😀
Cheers,
Scott

Andrew i suffer from the same and quite often while asea a bout with gout will arise, have found eating strawberries or cherries to be helpful, so each morning i get a small bowl of sliced strawberries and with my dinner dessert i ask for a small bowl of sliced strawberries which all servers have provided when i asked.
Lastly my doc told me wearing flip-flops does not help the issues so i now were Keen Uneeks as they provide some support and are really comfortable meshed shoe that are made in many colors, not cheap but worth the comfort.
BTW great Live thread and great pics, thanks for sharing with us.
Cheers...

a most deserving person to oversee and hopefully continue to provide the wealth of information that he has accumulated over the many years and for that a well deserved thank you and congratulations :)
now as for your "HOST" duties.....does that mean you will be hosting parties in the CL or DL or SL or even the other less known SL (Steerage Lounge) and will they be open to all C & A tiers including the elusive Pineapples along with their non-cruising relatives.....:o:D

Wow this is new. The Windjammer is having a one-night-only, $49 all-you-can-eat special tomorrow night. Seems too good to be true. We'll probably end up there. You would have to be a real idiot to not take advantage of that deal.

and the first 100 peeps to fine dine get 50% off and a coupon for a free meal at the scrumptious seaside Park Cafe....:D

I can tell you I seen Bo the casino manager on the Empress in march.
Also I talked to Daryl the assistant bar manager, when he signed off and went on vacation at the end of May. He said Bipel was going on vacation also. And I believe Melvin is still there, he was as of May.
I also talked to Francis he was onboard in the diamond lounge.
I booked a month on that ship and wanted to make sure my regular people were going to be there. [emoji3]

Bill thanks for the info am sure we will cross paths on the August 24th or the November 18th Thanksgiving cruise.
Cheers, Scott

Francis is the Concierge in the Diamond Lounge. He said he is onboard until November.
Thanks for the quick reply if you see him again tell him Scott needs Tuaca & Coors Lights for our upcoming cruises and for him to answer Kara's email 👍
Enjoy your cruise and the peeps aboard Grandeur 🍻

hmmmmm a davit issue ~ hard to believe.......guess they really inspect them now.......who knew......
back in January we were delayed several hours departing Charleston, SC due to lifeboat #5 taking a "splash:"
twas 1st cruise for Capt. Thor relieving Capt. Ante....:loudcry:
all was fine ~ ship being minus the weight of a lifeboat sailed at record speed to Cape Canaveral...
i often search Ebay for the auction of ill-fated salvaged lifeboat #5.....:(:D
-
great Live Report.....much appreciated :)
been on Grandeur many times with what seemed a revolving-door crew and have 2 upcoming 2017 cruises August & November so few questions if i may...
is "Bo" still Casino Host and will he be aboard for my 8/24 sailing ?
is "Beeple" still Asst. Bar Mgr. and will he aboard for my 8/24 sailing ?
is "Melvin" still Food & Beverage Mgr. and will he aboard for my 8/24 sailing ?
is "Roshman" still MTD Maitre D' and will he be aboard for my 8/24 sailing ?
is "Francis Callimag" Suite or Diamond Lounge concierge and will he be aboard for my 8/24 sailing ?
see a pattern above ~ yes my main focus on a cruise is (good eats /good booze/ cha ching $$$$ in the casino/ and recovering from my hangover in the lounges in the morning and starting the whole process over again each evening with happy hour in those same lounges):cool::D
BTW few years ago at Atlantis a casino pit boss told us of a group of manly men that entered the casino strutting their ALF's along with women bathing cover-ups and called their ALF's as (cock socks)....:eek:LMAO
cheers atcha & TIA for any info you can provide on the ever changing crew...
