We got to the port around 1015 AM and we let on by 11 AM.

For disembarkation, we didn’t even do self assist and we were able to get off by 7 AM.

Is Camps des Milles someplace you can walk to once you are dropped off in Aix?

No. We took a taxi there and an Uber back. It is about a 15-20 minute car ride.

We split our time between Camps des Milles, a WWII internment camp (a very moving experience), and shopping/dining. I think you’ll be fine filling your time, keeping in mind it will not be the same as Barcelona, Rome, or Florence.

We did this tour in May. Yes, you are really on your own. There is a walking tour through the local tourism office but it is not a part of RC. The bus drive is about 45 min each way.

We were on Symphony in June. Menu was the same throughout the cruise. We still went twice and it was great.

I started this thread to put suggestions so RCC can read it and take action on it. (and yes, RCC read Cruise Critic)

 

I've asked specifically not to answer/explain/comment the suggestions for RCC, as I want them to answer.

 

However, instead of posting suggestions, everybody is giving their opinions, to explain why it it this way and why it should not be the other way, basically ruining the purpose of this thread.

 

So please, once again, post only suggestions in this thread.

This can’t be serious.

Today, my cruise is no longer linked to my reservation. I attempt to link it by entering my reservation number. Initially, it finds it during the loading screen, but, ultimately, the reservation does not link. I called technical support and was told that "maintenance" was occurring and to try again later.

Anyone else having this issue?

They are running a DIY that provides a bus to Aix for $55 per person. May be my best option, but seems steep.

We were planning on going to Aix from Marseille on May 29 when in port on Symphony, but the train strike will be happening that day. What is the best alternate way to get to Aix?

I had been able to access my cruise documents and cruise planner up until a few days ago. Now, I am getting the error message “Error locking the Cruise Reservation.” Anyone have any suggestions?

Symphony is a brand new ship. Has not had its inaugural sailing yet.

Ughhh...Booked Thanksgiving week for 2018, hoping there wouldn't be so many kids...I guess that was wishful thinking on my part! Really liked the 8 night deal. Hmmmm....what to do...what to do...?

Many kids on this thanksgiving trip, mostly from the surrounding states.

For the first time this sailing you can also order your own drink at the bionic bar.

I would not come too early because they are bringing on more help to clean. I counted 5 cabins near us with yellow stickers on them and there are others who always show do not disturb. I did check the two numbers that people asked me to check and neither is currently quarantined.

Thanks for the feedback. Did the MDR have different menus every night or did they recycle after day 7? We're also from WI and boarding Navigator Friday. When you get home we will have some fresh snow ready for you!

I was going to include that in my recap when I got home but I'll address it now. I never saw guac & chips advertised at the Schooner Bar nor did I see anyone eating it there.

 

I also went into Izumi and asked if they do the "Izumi to Go" on this ship. The manager said no they do not.

 

I believe both were available fairly recently.

Matt Hochberg did Izumi to go on Navigator in February. Odd.

I've used six browsers on three different devices and I get no room selection for suites on any sailing. Also the links on the page stop responding. Other rooms types are showing though and I can select those rooms. It's just the suites that aren't working for me.

Those of you that booked tonight, have you received your email receipt yet? I haven't which worries me. I do have the confirmation number.

I've heard they will be sending them after midnight.
