The port authorities usually provide a free shuttle from where you dock to the port exit. It is only about a 5 minute walk from there to the tram, or Tranvia as we call it in Tenerife. It is best to ask when you get off the shuttle. You want the stop called Fundacion. You must buy a ticket before you get on as if an inspector gets on there are big fines. There are ticket machines at the stops and people are always willing to help you. You just need a return (Ida y vuelta). You punch the ticket in the machine when you enter the tram. Stay on until the terminus in La Laguna and it is about a 5 minute walk to the town. Follow the other people. It is a lovely old town to stroll through. Hope this helps. Sue

Really excited now. Please keep the pictures and updates coming. We board on March 2nd in Singapore. Love the pictures of the Langham. We are also staying there. Have a brilliant time.

Thank you for spending time to post the pictures. Would love to see more if you get chance as we are on Millie very soon now.

Well done. I hope you have a great cruise. I will be following along as we join Millie on March 2nd for the same itinerary. Sue

When we were there last summer we took a taxi into the centre of Valencia and got there before all the crowds. There were plenty of taxis by the port. Valencia centre gets very busy so best to go here first and visit the City of Arts and a Science afterwards. Sue

The first cancelled cruise is January 5th 2019, followed by the next two. We got an email last Friday, we were on the 5th sailing, but the flights on Emirates hadn't been released yet. We called London and are re-booked on March 5th.

We received our email yesterday saying Millie was going into dry dock. We were due to cruise Jan 5th 2019. Our cruise and the following two have been cancelled. We deal with Celebrity's London office and they were extremely good rebooking us. Very happy with the deal they gave us.

I feel for you having the cruises cancelled. We received our letter yesterday saying our January 2019 cruise on Millie was cancelled. She is going into dry dock. We got straight onto the London office and I have to say they were extremely good. We didn't change to the cruises they were offering but chose the same itinerary we had originally booked a couple of months later. We had originally booked a PH but those had gone but managed to get a RS which we are very happy with. Overall we are pleased with the deal they gave us.

Completely agree with Chemmo and Project gal. If you can, look at the RS and PH suite on Celebrity. Great space and very quiet on the huge balcony complete with jacuzzi. We were really spoiled. Sue

No sorry. We were invited to lunch with him and the Captain etc and he is a very witty man. Sue

Yes we stayed in a Sky 1 on deck 12 in May this year and my sister had a Sky 2 next door. Great suites with lots of room and we were not troubled by any noise from above.
Luminae is super. Much prefer it to the speciality restaurants. Tables are well spread out, good food and nothing is too much trouble for the staff in there. If you want something, just ask. I wanted cheese one day and asked for it to come from Murano as it is much better. Not a problem, they fetched it.
If you get chance upgrade, you'll love it.

I had the cheese one night offered on the menu and it was dreadful. Rubber! I do like my cheese so next night I asked them to get me a cheese plate from Murano. This they did and it was superb. Just ask for what you want and they get it. Sue
