Any speculation on a release date or what ship(s) may be doing the cruises around Cape Horn for 2021?

Has anyone heard anything about the itinerary or the ship for 2021 yet?  We did the 49-day on the Royal earlier this year and we just loved it... so much so that we're thinking of doing it again in 2021.  Guess we need to keep our eyes peeled for news!

  2. Sorry to hear you were unable to get a children's menu in the MDR. DH sometimes has difficulty swallowing certain foods and our waiters were concerned that he wasn't eating enough, so suggested that he might like to try something from the children's menu... believe it or not, spag bol fast became a favourite!

  3. Hi there! We were on the Maasdam for six weeks in January/February and there was no B.B. King Blues Band but there was an excellent piano player, Jamm The Pianoman, who played in the bar beside The Mix every evening. Hope this helps.

  4. We were on a 39-day cruise on the Maasdam this January/February, Sydney to San Diego, and when new passengers boarded in Auckland we all had to attend a mandatory muster drill. Maybe it varies from ship to ship or itinerary to itinerary...

  5. We've jumped ship too! Having spent ten days on the Emerald Princess, we then took a taxi along the pier and boarded the Noordam for twenty-one days... it worked like a dream and gave us two very different experiences, both of which were wonderful! This time we will be spending thirty-two days on board the Koningsdam for a B2B European and Transatlantic cruise, then meeting our kids on board the Regal Princess for a fourteen Caribbean cruise on the day that we disembark! [emoji3] Can't wait! [emoji3]

  6. This is something that I've often wondered about when I read of people taking long cruises. The longest cruise we've been on so far is thirty days, so it hasn't arisen, but when you have a short hairdo that needs to be trimmed every five weeks or so, the question starts to loom large quite soon after that! Our next cruise will be forty-nine days, so I'm debating whether to brave the unknown of a new hairstylist or to just live with the feeling of being all shaggy and unkempt for a couple of weeks! [emoji3] Time will tell!

I'd love to hear how others have fared and what their experiences have been with onboard hairstylists.
