Looks to be on schedule to make her journey across the Atlantic in time for her maiden voyage with passengers on November 21. What a celebration that will be and we look forward to being on board.
We will be there too! A group of us that met on a previous cruise are booked and crossing our fingers we’ll get to sail.

Would the old locks on Princess be called "Full Transit"? I'm just starting to look into a Panama Canal cruise and I want to do the old locks first.
As far as I know, the only Princess ships that fit the old locks are the Island and Coral so I’d look for one of those.

Fair enough. Looking at a thread-starters post history (which I do reflexively) is usually helpful but occasionally gets one into trouble.
And I too keep the different Princess ships in the corner of my mind. CB is not one I prefer but I may be on her this year anyway as she heads up to NYC much earlier than usual--and my cousin in New York state wants to join us with her granddaughter on the next cruise, so school schedules will dictate.
We’ve got to work around school schedules as well, I work for a college. Looking at some Spring Break cruises and Caribbean, Crown, and Regal are our options.

ETA: ...and now that I see the OP is posting to an Emerald Princess roll call perhaps this entire thread is now moot
Not moot at all, my next booked cruise may be on Emerald but I’m looking at future cruises as well. I like to plan and it seems others were curious as well.

Do Planks and Steamers have menus for breakfast and lunch or is it similar to the buffet? Anyone eaten here that could weigh in on what the food is like?

We went with WOW for our trip in July and wouldnt hesitate to use them again. Brodie Castle is very pretty and much less crowded than the others and we didnt miss the boat trip at all. In fact, after stopping in Loch Ness and knowing how windy and chilly it was, I was glad we ended up not doing it.

We had a timed ticket for Trinity College and the time wasnt checked when we walked up to the entrance. The line to the Tower of London can be very long depending on time of day. People that purchased the London Pass have a different entrance, sort of a fast pass type line.

Looking at Princess and Carnival for the following three destinations
1. Alaska
2. Panama canal
3. Hawaii
That's why I love Cruise critic is for all of the differing experiences and opinions that I can take and help plan :halo:
Ive done all three on Princess and would be happy to try and answer any questions you have.

Definitely a hat and sunscreen. Chapstick and aloe are a good idea too. We spent a lot of time on the Promenade during the transit day, so you can stay in the shade, but its still very hot.

We were allowed in as soon as we boarded, about noon. All drinks were done via card swipe but I did see people using old punch cards with no issues.

A friend of mine is a Princess employee and her next contract is on Enchanted. She was recently contacted by her agent to submit her documents so Im hopeful that means, at least at this point, that the intent to sail on the 21st is there.
