-
Going on the 14th August and wondered if they still have a comedian on every week.
-
-
Luckily i don't smoke and only intend to buy the legal limit of spirits, plus were cruise only and going from Palma
-
Yes, it does include Gibraltar so hopefully it should be open at least one day
Thanks

Going on the Spanish delight cruise in a couple of weeks and wondered if theduty free shops would be open on any of the days.
Thanks
-
For the Dream we had had to tick the AI option even though it was "free"
-
Thanks again(y)

Just one more thing when we embark we need to get back to our apartment in Cala Dor is there a taxi rank in the port
-
Think you coverd everthing you have been a great help
-
We are doing a cruise only from Palma does anyone know what the check in procedure is, in years gone by we always had the flight so everthing like siutcase labels were already soted for you
-
We got a bar of chocolate which was sprinted "Welcome back" on the box

They won't be turning away revenue! The hotels will just be full of non-Brits instead of the usual UK guests - and the Belgians, Dutch and Scandinavians supposedly spend more per day in resort than Brit guests do which is better for the local economy. Contrary to what we would like to believe, the Brits are no longer the most popular guests here especially as many local traders blame them, maybe incorrectly, for the massive increase in AI hotels.
A quarter of all holiday makers in Spain are British. By far the biggest contributor to the Spanish tourism sector. If they could suddenly fill the hotels with a client base that spends more money it would of happened a long time ago whether EU residents or not.

We have done it twice once in Corfu and the other Cala Boner in Majorca both times had no problems with any transfers

That's not our experience after fifty plus cruises with Thomson
Every time you go the bar and ask for as an example "rum and coke" the coke is poured from a large bottle from behind the bar which are usually flat as Jim the Scot commented we ended up buying the mixers separate although we were AI
-
Never known them differentiate between AL and paying guests for mixers :p
If you want your mixer in a can or bottle you have to pay AI or not £1,70 for a can of coke or bottle of tonic

Hi all,
Is there a self service laundry room on the Majesty.
Many thanks for any help
Lou
We got our stuff laundered they had an offer on, one full bag (forget the cost) but the amount you can squeeze in is amazing when you not paying for individual items, all came back on hangers pressed immaculately
-
Think that's for a can or bottle they give you separate. The normal mixers they use are from large bottles these are included

This means he would be covered for any medical emergency unless it was related to the previous cancer
Yes that's correct
-
Somebody can correct me if wrong - but if your friend takes ill (God forbid) on holiday then the non disclosure of his cancer, regardless of the treatment being a success, is liable to render the policy null and void ?
The new illness may be totally unrelated.
It was disclosed but not covered on the trip
-
We have a friend who has recently overcome cancer, he was quoted astronomical prices more than the cost of the cruise, the advisor from the insurance company suggested that it was highly unlikely that he would require any emergency medical help relevant to his illness so he got it taken off the policy and the price dropped dramatically.

There's an old thread still live with the 2013 bar menu

Sorry about above still finding my way round.
I was going to say that all of the Thompson WEB sites need updating to fall in line with most other air travel companies. You cannot book a seat until 90 days before you return although you pay upfront, you have next to no options on My Thompson so are unable to do basic things like pick a cabin
-
Hi - First time with Thomson - due to destination choice. We have been with Fred Olsen ,P&O Carnival HAL and Hurtigruten.
My query is regarding the booking experience and the MyThomsonCruise
"Unfortunately MyThomsonCruise is currently not accessible. However, all customer's who are flying can visit flightextras.thomson.co.uk
We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We're working on bringing you an even better experience, and will be in touch as soon as it's ready."
It has said that for months!! and still remains on the main cruise page as a Reason to Choose Thomson Cruises.
Just getting a booking number was difficult initally given a ****/****** style number which didnt work anywhere then after 2 emails complaining (one of which was headed Worst Website ever.) a shorter number which ONLY seems to work on the flight extras page.
The Documentations says in several places Transfers are NOT included
then at the bottom it says something like Ignore any references to Transfers not being included. Why on earth they couldnt just delete the *NOT" from the various places is beyond me.
I am just wondering what other Thomson Cruisers experience has been
has it just gone worse or has it always been like this.
By comparison, last week we booked a cruise with HAL via an agent and the next day, although we had nothing from the agent the booking was there on the HAL website with cabin number and all our details.
The Thomson idea of allocating of a cabin number when you get to the airport I find very unsettling. I can only assume its so that if you dont like it
and havent been prepared to pay to reserve it,( Didnt even spot you could do that until recently) then its too late to do anything about it.
Also didnt spot the lack of toiletries - do you really have to take your own shower gel!! and seasick pills £1 each!! Never been sick before but there has to be a first time - perhaps at reception just to prove a point.;)[/quote
Your right even a simple thing like allocating plane seats is a farce 90 days before your return even Ryan Air and Easy Jet have that facility
Has anyone had a free upgrade with tui????
in Marella Cruises (formerly Thomson)
