  1. We sailed with our adult children in three side-by-side cabins this past April. The steward opened the dividers between the rooms on the first day without needing to call in management or make a big deal about it. Just ask nicely. We also gave him a small tip to take care of my kids (34 & 30) on the first day. He must have liked them because he ran into them in one of the ports and gave them directions back to the ship when they were a bit confused.

  2. Sailed in 7314 this May. There is a door that opens to the climbing wall desk. We found the deck a good place to see shows. There is also a ladder down to the walking track. Just check what days & times the wall is open to see when you won't be in the way. Generally, only one wall was open at a time.

  3. We got off Oasis this morning. There was very little motion all week. As others say, low and center is best to minimize motion, but the sea state has a lot to do with motion. I spent a lot of time on Navy ships years ago (Marines) and was always seasick on the first day out - except my last trip when I didn't have time to realize I wasn't sick. One trick an old chief passed on was to eat dry toast or crackers. That seamed to settle my stomach.

  4. My wife and I took our first cruise in the 90's on Grandeur. We were seated with a couple from GB and had a good time with them. Toward the end of dinner the head waiter asked all of us if we would like to join the Captain the next night. We accepted and had a good time. Near the end of the week we asked "why us" and were told that we were obvious strangers and yet started right in with friendly converation and enjoying each other. The Captain wanted people who would hold a good converstation and make the dinner fun.
