Looking for feedback on any of the Naples, Italy excursions offered on the Mediterranean ocean cruises. It seems that they are actually only offering 5 Demanding and 2 Moderate on our upcoming cruise to the Antiquities in November.

I feel Viking is being very prejudice to those in the lower class.  I also booked a DV4 for 9/26 and on the website it states 67 days out.  When I tried to book, it was locked.  I called and was told that I have to wait 4 additional days 63.  Today is 63 and everything is SOLD OUT.  What happens to those that are in the lower cabins - are they forced to stay on board??

Looking for recommendations on Munich Airport.  Is it better than Frankfurt Airport.  Trying to book flights to Bucharest and return from Budapest to New York.  I see that there are  flights to/from Munich.  Never been at this airport.  Frankfurt is a nightmare normally a long walk between arrivals and departure gates.

Viking cruises are now found in THREE different places.

I actually thought it was great. Large living room, huge shower, the wrap around balcony and plenty of storage space. Had fresh fruit and pastries every morning in room, with a bottle of champagne.

Hello, I tried to search for this but did not see anything current for my question. Ladies, how is the hair dryer? I medium length hair and really don't want to bring one if the supplied one is ok. Thank you for your help.

I have been on 9 Viking cruises and have medium length hair and found their hair dryers just as good as my dual voltage one. It does takes a little longer to dry. As Cole indicated, there is no outlet in the bathroom for hairdryers only mens shavers. I usually sit on the edge of the bed so that I can see into a mirror while styling. It is wise for the women to take their showers first and blowing their hair while the men can be shaving.

I have done the Danube and the Rhine both twice. You always see something different.

Flying Lufthansa from Porto to Frankfurt and then connecting to a flight to NYC. Is an hour and a half good for layover in Frankfurt Both flights are listed as Terminal 1 for arrival and departure.

Stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel last year and they were there.

We have booked with Viking with coach air fare included. Anyone upgraded to Business Class and if so, what was the process and cost to do so. Or should we pass on the air fare included and make our own arrangements? Much appreciate any advise.

Why not call Viking and ask how much it is to update to Economy Comfort. Usually I do my upgrade with the airline, just need to have your e-ticket from Viking. This year because I am flying Air France, I went directly through Viking.

this answered all my questions. Viking arranged for a taxi to take us and pick us up. They also supplied me with robes, towels and caps.

On Viking Chateaux, Rivers & Wines on 10/28/2017 and doing the pre- Loire Valley tour, including Paris. Looking for how the one-line booking of Moulin Rouge works. Do you need the name of your hotel? or do you just print your tickets out at home.

I did the Danube Waltz tour this past December and was told the trip to Salzburg was only available on the Castles & Legends cruise. I would recheck with Viking if it is truly available on the Danube Waltz.

Viking charges $50.00 pp for Air Plus Services. They also charge for any upgrade (economy to business or first class); as well as any deviation in flight (extra days, etc) . Have you tried to call the Air Plus Department directly 877-523-0580. You will need your reservation number before they answer any questions. Also I would suggest that you know what flights you want. I have dealt with Viking directly for my 8 cruises with them. Good luck.

You can also negotiate final payment with Viking. Suggest that you contact Viking to discuss further. I normally pay within 6 months of my cruise.

PLEASE close this thread as Viking has responded to the OP and has made good to his satisfaction. I have cruised with Viking 8 times and never had a problem with their lunch or dinner menus and I am a very picky eater.

There is a private thermostat in the cabin. I also set that to about 70; the cabin attendant always resets it to a warmer temperature. Sometimes the lounge and dining room can be a little chilly but I prefer the chill over a heated room. When you sit in the dining room or lounge do not sit at the windows as you may be colder sitting against the windows.

I have never seen them in the room, but I know robes and slippers are available. I suggest that when you first arrive on the ship; request robe and slippers.

When I first started cruising with Viking, I saw them. I have not seen any recently. I normally bring one of my own, because the hotels do not offer them either.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts. I guess it might be worth it to carry our bathing suits since we will be in Budapest for 4 days as we took the extension. I have been to Budapest once before but never to the baths.

Viking now offers excursions to the Budapest Baths. Question is it really worth the visit especially in December? Options / Comments appreciated.

Doing this cruise in December and was told by Viking, that it is about a 2 hour bus ride from Munich Airport to the dock.
