  1. Has anyone "reused" previous purchased WOW bands? I saw it mentioned here that they can be reprogrammed.

We will be back on Harmony in March and I was hoping to use our bands from January Harmony. The problem is that the Muster station location would be different.

    Thanks

Yes, just bring your old Wow bands to your March cruise. On embarkation day the promenade has a booth of wow bands set up, you go there turn your old one in and get a new one. It will have the new correct muster station on it and they will program it for you as well.

  2. 3 weeks ago on Harmony, I was given an "appointment time" during check in on my set sails pass for 230pm. I got there at 11am and walked right on with no delay.

I called RCI the day before because I was worried, since my car service was scheduled for the morning and my appointment check in was for the afternoon. They said not to worry about it. It was fine at the pier.

  3. It's been refusing to load the page for me since Sunday, today is finally the first day it started working. When I finally called yesterday to make our new bookings over the phone, the sales rep said they haven't had any complaints about the website. Glad to know I wasn't the only one.

  4. Sounds like you had a great time! Thanks for your review!

Silly technology question maybe you can help me. We will be in a Grand Suite on Harmony for the transatlantic later this month, so we will have the VOOM. How did you hook up your laptop to get Netflix on the in room tv? I'm not great with technology, but my husband is so I will show him your reply. Do you think you could also hook up Netflix from an iPad to the in room tv or does it have to be a laptop? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

  5. We have been on the Oasis 7 times, and use the childcare every time. My husband and I had the same conversation with the Royal tots staff on the Oasis regarding language. The staff is instructed only to speak English, even if the staff speaks your child's native language, they are not allowed to speak a language other than English to the child. There was staff member that spoke Italian and Spanish, but we were disappointed to find out she was not allowed to speak anything other than English to our child.

It didn't seem to be an issue, the staff showed us each child in the tot nursery at the time and said that child speaks only Arabic, that child speaks only French, that child speaks only German, none of them speak English. They said the children easily adapt to English and understand fine, and it's never a problem.

However, these were younger children, your children are a few years older that could make a difference. I did notice when we saw the older adventure ocean kids in the windjammer eating lunch, probably 10 out of 12 children did not speak English. They seems to be having a good time, and were chattering away to each other in multiple languages.

  6. They will not allow an in-room babysitter for a 6 month old. I have used the nursery on the Allure and the Oasis for my infant. There are several post with tips regarding the Oaisis/Allure nursery under special topic:s Family Cruising.

As soon as you get on the ship, go to the nursery to book your hours for the week. You initially have 15-20 hours to book for the nursery. By the 2nd day they open up the rest of the week for additional hours if there are some available. The hours were from 9am-midnight. $6/hr for daytime and $8/hr for evening.

Ask for the fischer-price lend a toy bag.

You can take your stroller to the nursery and they will put your baby to sleep in the stroller if you want.

  7. We travel frequently and having a dependable place to board our dog is vital. We use a Cageless boarding company. Type in Cageless dog boarding and the city you live in on google or yelp, there are quite a few companies nationwide. Read the reviews for each company. We always have a. "meet and greet" before we leave our dog, so we can feel comfortable and know she is in good hands.
