What are your favorite must-try foods (even drinks) or restaurants around these two islands? I’m a big foodie and love to try new foods and dishes especially when traveling to areas I’ve never been before.

I’ve seen lots of posts about Miami hotels but where are the best places to do some pre-cruise shopping around Miami? Do you save some airport bag weight and buy some sunscreen and other such things in Miami, and if so where are the best places to go?

Healthcare worker here, fully vaccinated as of a few weeks ago. Got a sore arm from the first dose and then some fatigue and body aches with the second but nothing that lasted more than a day.

Hey there! First time cruiser here as well. My friend and I just booked the Symphony of the Seas 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise out of Miami, FL on May 7, 2022. Was going to take a cruise sooner, but pandemic....

I'm going in November and it will be my first time also. Personally for me, I'm looking forward to touring some if the Mayan ruins! Then again I'm a history buff and my friends and I enjoy such things lol. My advice is to just look at all the available options and let your significant other make the choice from all the options.

Just a heads up in case you need some new cruise clothes or some updated luggage- Eddie Bauer.com is having their 'Green Monday' sale today and with promo code 'LIGHTS' you can get 50% off your total order on most things. I'm definitely considering buying one, maybe two of their rolling duffel bags- I've heard great things about them!

Wrap your handle with a turks head knot in brightly colored...neon...or even reflective paracord using an easy knot method. Paracord is pretty popular right now but there's tons of color options out there, my personal favorite being the reflective.
Find a tutorial here:
NOTE: the "needle" isn't required, it definitely makes it easier but its not a must have.

Wow of all the amazing threads and posts on this forum this one has definitely been the most enlightening! I'm planning a cruise with some coworkers and friends and none of us have taken a cruise before...so needless to say we are doing lots of preplanning. Thanks to all who've submitted tips and tricks....this took awhile to read. Definitely going to bookmark it and keep up with all the great info!

Loving your review!!! After seeing your pics and Gambee's pics I am definitely going to have to invest in one of those cameras...Sadly I've never used anything but a point and shoot before...hope it won't be a big adjustment. :(
