pugs398 Posted January 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2012 Looking for info on the cabana rentals in grand Turk. I will be going in April on carnival. I know you have access to pool but do you have option to go to the beach? How close is it to shopping and other sites? Any other info that you think would help would be appreciated. Colorado Kat Posted January 24, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2012 Yes, the beach is lovely, and quite close to the Cabanas and pools. I would not bother with a cabana, but that is just me. They have shops there, but Grand Turk is not really a shopping island, in my opinion. Great snorkeling, though.
ratherbecruzn Posted February 2, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2012 We rented one of the cabana's. It's a nice place to cool off. I think we will go without if we go back to Grand Turk. It would be great for families with young children especially around nap time.
imluvncruzn Posted February 4, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2012 We just went to Grand Turk via the Valor last week and rented a cabana. We were off the boat as soon as they allowed us to. We are platinum and had the guest services rep. walk us down past all the people lined up in the stairwells. We walked thru the cruise port to Margaritaville. You have to meet the hostess inside Margaritaville to get your keys. We were the first to get our cabana on this day and had our pick of cabana 6-10. Cabins 1-5 were for guests that booked it on the Eurodam which arrived about an hour after we did. FYI: Cabana #1 is closest to the bathroom. We chose #10 as it was closest to the flowrider and beach. We split the cost $129 between 3 families (total of 10) people. The host asked how many people we had when we checked in and we said 4, she walked us to our cabanana and then that was the last we saw of her for the day. We stored our stuff in the cabana and then walked over to the beach for a few hours. Around 11am we walked back to Margaritaville. Our cabana was great. It had a big sectional sofa, coffee table, and air conditioning. We used the outlets to charge our video camera. I brought a small cooler off the ship with water and cans of pop (which we had carried on the ship at embarkation). I also made a 2qt. container of mixed drinks on the ship and brought it to the cabana. I would go in the cabana and refill my drink in there and then bring it back out to the pool area. Saved me a ton of money as 1 mixed drink in 12oz glass and 1 draft beer at Margaritaville was $22! Here are some pics:

Will check out our Platinum benefit if it holds true. Thnx.
