Bot230 Posted September 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2017 Hey everyone, I wanted to know how good the bed rails on the Disney Magic are at preventing toddlers from falling out of the bed. My child is 2 and a half years old and I was thinking of having her sleep in a bed with the rails instead of the pack and play. She currently still sleeps in a crib. Thanks! moki'smommy Posted September 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2017 If she doesn't use a bed at home, why would you choose vacation as the time for the transition? That said, ask your host for "double rails." They will then extend the entire length of the bed. Some kids are escape artists--if they do manage to fall out, the bed is only about 2 feet off the floor (lower than a normal bed) and there is carpet to land on. Bot230 Posted September 23, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted September 23, 2017 Thank you for your reply! We have tried to have her sleep in a pack and play in the past and it was a disaster so I was thinking how we could potentially avoid that situation. Do they every run out of the double rails? Thanks!
ArthurUSCG Posted September 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2017 For our kid, even the normal rail works. We put their head at the top of the bed and feet towards the opening. This way 1 person could sit on the couch still. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

limu Posted September 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2017 My daughter just turned 3 for her first cruise on the Magic and did fine with the bed rails. Perhaps you can request some extra pillows just to be safe?
