richard1s Posted December 31, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2017 My wife and I just returned from the Celebrity Equinox and I was really disappointed with what has happened to casino play on Celebrity. Typically minimums start out a little high and then they are reduced a few days into the cruise. On this cruise, they did not come down. The BJ minimum all week was $15; and then there were only two tables offering play at that level. Three card poker minimums were $10 for “pairs plus” and $10 for an “ante” bet; add another $10 to “play” for $30 a hand. Craps was also a $10 minimum, as well as outside roulette bets. Now, all week, less than half of the tables in the entire casino ever had a dealer in attendance. The play all week was very weak and the casino never had any real excitement or energy going on. This was disappointing for us. The casino has great entertainment value and is a good place to meet people, have fun and add a little excitement to your cruise. On Celebrity it is clearly an afterthought and seems like just another way to economize by reducing staff.

sxyshell Posted April 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2018 This is disappointing to hear as we just booked our first Celebrity cruise through a casino deal with Urcomped. The cruise I booked is actually a blackjack tournament so I'm hoping things will be better!
