lynnek Posted November 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2017 just wondered if anyone had rented a cabana at Amber Cove? The p and o website says it is for 4 people but looking on other websites it says for 6 people. We are a party of 6 people and just wondering if we will be ok to book this. It appears you can only book in advance through p and o.
ScotchBoy Posted November 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2017 We did some research of feedback/reviews on Trip Adviser and this site (Ports of Call). It appears that they are suitable for 6 people. We've gone ahead and have booked one for our New Year cruise. Really looking forward to it. ScotchBoy Posted November 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Did you book with P and O or did you find some way to book direct? Hi, we booked direct with P&O. I believe that Carnival own Amber Cove, although I stand to be corrected.

ScotchBoy Posted November 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Please would you post on here on your return your views? No problem - we are on the Azura New Year cruise and return on the weekend of 12th/13th January. I'll post something the following week. It's something a bit different for us as we are not beach people; we prefer to do activity excursions, so a bit of poolside pampering will be a restful change. ScotchBoy Posted January 15, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Please would you post on here on your return your views? Hi lynnek Unfortunately, we did not get to experience the cabana at Amber Cove, so I am unable to post a review. We received a call from the Excursions team whilst in our cabin to advise that the booking had been cancelled. We were informed this was due to the local agent not honouring the P&O allocation, which apparently is not unusual. We were disappointed but didn't take P&O's offer of a hillside cabana instead, so were refunded in full. Anyway, once we arrived at Amber Cove the incessant rain dictated events, and most (if not all) excursions were cancelled. Hope you have better luck.
