momof3plusdog Posted November 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2017 I leave in 5 days on my first cruise and have a question about the temperature on the boat in the evening. We are going to the Caribbean and didn’t know if the temperature would be cool or warm on the boat in the evening. I’m trying to figure out my clothing options for the shows, etc.
easyboy Posted November 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2017 It’s a controlled temperature inside the ship’s public area. Usually comfortably cool. Some bring either a shawl or a cardigan in case it is needed. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
redstapler7 Posted November 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2017 We were on last week. Cooler in the evenings, especially on open deck such as Lido. Not cold, just cooler.
Quilcruisers Posted November 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2017 We were on valor in October. It was chilly every night inside, I always bring a wrap as I usually wear sleeveless or strapless. Outside was downright hot the whole time. It rained both days we were in port but was still hot. We are from Houston, so your idea of hot might be different. We cruised last year this time and were able to enjoy the hot tubs during the day but it was chilly at night. The beach water was nice but we went to dunns river falls in Jamaica and the water there was very cold although climbing the falls had us sweating. As long as you bring a cover up that you can remove, you will be ok both inside and out. Have fun your first cruise, you will be addicted. MomtherOfDragons Posted November 10, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2017 We'll be on the ship with you!! Our last cruise left the first week of November on the same itinerary, it was somewhat cold on the deck in the evening, but inside was perfect. I'd bring a light jacket for the deck and wear it inside if you get cold easily.
