Just back from Victory that sailed on May 14th

I figured i'd come back and answer any questions/requests anyone may have. I left a pretty hefty review on the main page but here's a synopsis:

- Embarkation from the Port of Miami was okay. They never showed us where our luggage was supposed to go to be checked so we unfortunately had to carry our bags on board.

- The ship in my opinion does not show its age. It could use better/updated signage on the 3rd floor where guest services is because the lighted signs are hard to read.

- I did not like having to use the 6th floor or walk through the casino to get to the comedy area, karaoke, alchemy bar or Atlantic dining room. The casino needs better ventilation as the cigarette smell radiated up to the 6th floor.

- The food was not very good in my opinion as a foodie. My husband was served raw eggs in this Breakfast bowl and the staff was always absent, slow and not personable.

- Entertainment was okay and centered around rock n roll and older style selections - which was not our style.

- Service was more of a miss than a hit. Our cabin steward was the best and our dinner staff on the last night was the best service we received the entire cruise.

- The ports were okay. I wish we could have stayed in Key West a bit longer but we made the most of it while there. During our Cozumel port the gangway was damaged due to a very bad storm so many people were stuck outside the boat for at least 4-6 hours while the gangway was repaired.

- Disembarkation was a mess and very disorganized. We carried our luggage off the boat and they called too many floors at once.

Let me know if there are any additional questions/requests. While we would never cruise this boat again, we would cruise with Carnival again.

Am I missing something here?

Am I missing something here?

Possibly. Breakfast and service in the Atlantic dining room was always absent, slow and not personable. Their are two dining rooms. From what I understand Atlantic only serves breakfast and a separate dining room Pacific serves dinner. One of the two may serve lunch/brunch but we didn't eat there so I am not sure how true that may be.

Additionally, the only areas of service that were good and worth mentioning was our daily cabin service via the cabin steward and the dining staff only on the last night of the cruise in Pacific.

Any additional clarification needed?
