BellaBuggy Posted July 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2017 We are looking to stay at the HI Superdome pre-cruise and take a shuttle to the port. We have family who would like to meet us there and ride over to the port with us. Is it possible for non-hotel guests to ride that shuttle? They would expect to pay of course, but we didn't know if that was even an option. The hotel gave conflicting information so we are afraid to rely on that. If it isn't possible to have extra people on the shuttle, will it be easy to hail a cab in that area in the morning? We are not familiar with NOLA. Thank you! nolatravelgirl Posted July 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2017 Where are these additional people staying? It sounds like more trouble than it is worth for them (and their bags) to schlep from their hotel to your hotel then to the port. Have everyone just meet at the port and cut out the middle man. BellaBuggy Posted July 25, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted July 25, 2017 They're staying with a friend a few blocks away. We were mostly hoping they could come and help us with luggage. We are traveling with 5 kids and a ton of suitcases because we are taking donations to a school on one of our stops, so getting all the bags there will be a bit of a pain. Just thought the extra adult hands would help. 🙂
shortyjoesmith Posted July 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2017 From all that I have read, I don't think the Holiday Inn Superdome offers shuttle service to the port anymore.

When you reach the port have a porter take all your bags out of the taxi then have the rest of the family come "luggage free" and you can all check in together. I think it would be greedy to take excessive luggage on a comp shuttle
