What's going on with the Carnival Victory dry dock?

Have you heard anything yet?

Nope. Nada. Zilch. Zippo.

And believe me, we’ve been calling them every day for updates!

What makes me feel a little better is that if the 9 Forward cabin changes are complete and able to be occupied the number of cabins will have actually INCREASED compared to the old deck plan despite the new cabins being of a higher category. This is because the square footage of the previous front balcony has been almost completely incorporated into the new cabins.

I’ve continued to do mock bookings for the Victory cruise immediately preceding ours and now see multiple cabins along the 9 forward section available to be booked. This gives us some hope!

As long as they don’t try to shove us into a utility closet or elevator shaft we’ll be happy.

It just seems weird that you haven't been contacted by someone given the fact your sail date is so close.

Exactly! That’s what was making us so nervous. And no matter who we called nobody was giving us an answer other than “we’ll look into it”.

What’s crazy is that we booked it in June 2017 and paid in full at the time of booking.

We had an email from the charter agency that showed this.

Our friends who booked as late as December got their Carnival check in emails. We did not. Then we found out about the drydock 9 Forward cabin changes...

We got our Carnival number!

After multiple daily calls to the charter company we finally got our reservation processed. We are now 10 days from the sailing so it was really getting down to the wire.

We are very relieved.

So did they keep you in the same cabin number since it's now the Captains Suite?
