Has anyone heard about November sailings?? We are booked on an Amber Cove & Grand Turk Only Sailing in November. It looks like they are replacing Grand Turk with Amber Cove, but what about if you were already going to Amber Cove ??? [emoji17][emoji17][emoji17] Not complaining, just trying to plan.

we were supposed to go to Jamaica, Amber cove, and grand turk last week. Carnival changed our itinerary four days before we embarked. Amber cove and grand turk were replaced with grand Cayman and cozemel. From what I heard on the ship carnival will not be visiting Amber cove or grand turk for a couple of months at least. I am not sure if they will make this same change with your cruise in November but there are few islands left that are not damaged from hurricanes

Yep, I noticed on Carnival's website that Grand Turk had reappeared on itineraries beginning in November. That's GREAT news for my favorite cruise port, and the people there. :)

What are your favorite things to do there ?

I've done the snuba excursion through Carnival twice at Grand Turk and really enjoyed it.

I also snorkel from the beach, which is right there by the pier. We had surprisingly good luck snorkeling in front of Margaritaville and Jack's Shack the last time; there were more fish to see than on my previous visits. Ironically the less-developed beach area to the right (south) of the pier was disappointing.

I also try to pay a visit to Jack's Shack (a short walk down the beach from Margaritaville) to say hi to the proprietors and to their dog Topher, who is probably the most famous canine in the Caribbean. :)

Our cruise is Oct. 29 and as far as I know (as in, it hasn't changed as of now), we are visiting both ports. I believe we may be the first ship back to Grand Turk.

I'd consider that to be a bit of an honor....and I'd tip the shore people there just a little bit extra. They've been through hell.

I'm excited to go to Jack's Shack!

It's a great place to go to escape the commercialism (and crowds) at Margaritaville. It's not a big place and it's not glitzy, but they're good people with a friendly, hole-digging dog. :)

Jack's Shack was our favorite part of the cruise we took last year. We can't even say why. We sat on the beach, drank beer, ate jerk chicken and fried conch and it was paradise!!!
