rls1970 Posted March 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2018 My question is this. I have been sailing on Carnival exclusively for some years now (sailed NCL once in 2009 - I won a sales contest), and I usually get pretty nice offers from them based on my play discounted or comped rooms, casino cash in addition to other perks. I was thinking of trying NCL out again as it seems Carnival is lacking in certain amenities etc. I was curious if CAS offers any discounts or other offers to entice me to make the leap. I get comp offers from urcomped, but never see NCL as an option. I didn’t know if it was possible for one program to “rate” me based on casino time/$$ from another line or if there was information I could provide for them to do so. Seems like a long shot but just thought I would see if anyone had any experience like this. Thank you in advance and make it a great day!

CAS won't rate you based on play on other ships, but they do have a standard discount you can get for your first cruise is you are a Total Rewards (Ceasar's/Harrah's) member. The discount will be up to 20% based on your status. You'll want to book a first cruise through CAS, and establish a play history with them on that cruise. Once you've done that, you can call them about any cruise you're interested in and see what they'll offer. Comp offers vary, of course, with the popularity of the ship and the itinerary. There are no comps available for the Pride of America Hawaii cruises as there is no casino on that ship. One other thing you might try, though, IF you are a TR member and have a Ceasar's Entertainment marketing rep you work with - the rep can call CAS on your behalf and may be able to establish your "qualifications" with them. This is because CET and NCL are owned by the same holding company and there is a reciprocity agreement between them. Unfortunately, though, your CAS play doesn't count towards your TR status, or vice versa. Wish it did!

Also, I have read posts from people who say they can get NCL comps from URComped by taking an NCL offer and submitting it to URComped. We haven't ever had to do that, so I can't tell you how or if that works. If you haven't already got it, the NCL CAS contact info is at the bottom of this page: https://www.ncl.com/why-cruise-norwegian/casino-cruise
