Dog Friendly Taxis in Southampton

We disembark in Southampton on May 24th.

We will have our two small (19 & 28 lb) dogs with us.

I'm wondering how hard it is to find a dog friendly Taxi in Southampton.

I have to pick up our rental car at Enterprise Car Rental - Surety House. Its about 4 miles from the terminal.

If its difficult to find a dog friendly Taxi?

If so - would it be feasible to leave the wife at the terminal with the dogs while I take the bags and go pick up the car and return to get them? I'd imagine that they would need to wait an hour for me to get back.

Is there a decent dry place that she could wait if it was raining?

Is there a place where I could park the rental car and go get them where they are waiting?

I have never had a problem with taxis and dogs at the Southampton terminal(even with three dogs). I always have a blanket to put across the seats. Helps placate the taxi driver.
